Burgers and beer

Stopped on the way home from a trip to Vermont. Pretty nice place and casual. Service was prompt, beer was cold and the burgers were tasty. I got the Jack Daniels burger and fries. Burger was good, but a bit sloppy to eat. Pretty quiet for a Saturday night on Labor Day weekend.

A very clean and pleasing atmosphere. The burger that my husband had, was juicy and cooked exactly to his taste. I had the mac and cheese, and as comfort food goes, it was creamy and delicious. The side salad was presented beautifully with very fresh greens and veggies. For dessert, a Vermont snowball, which was mango/passionfruit sorbet covered in white... More

We decided to eat at this restaurant because of the signs advertising lobster rolls (my favorite). The service was terrible. It seems they forgot to even take our order and then once they took it, we did not get our meals until we told them we were leaving. While we anxiously waiting 8 people left because of the wait time.... More

Second time we have eaten here on our way back or forth to Maine. Exceptional lobster rolls, even better than most along the coast! Amazing burgers and friendly service.

We stopped here for lunch on our way to the Adirondack on Friday. It was quiet - there were only 2 other tables used in the patio. We picked one of the table outside - the ground was not clean and the table was not prepared (no utensils, etc.) Waitress came out and she was very sweet - cleaning our... More

This stretch between Troy and Bennington can be a culinary no man's land. This offering has a nice patio, but the food was poor. Mac and cheese cones in a bread bowl (a side order of carbs, anyone), the chicken pram appears to be a frozen food supermarket cutlet with a little marinara sauce on top (very drive), the soup... After driving past the signs for their lobster rolls all summer, we finally stopped for a meal at the Potters Tavern. The woman who greeted us was fabulous and the waiter was extremely pleasant, but the Tavern itself is a little tired and not quite clean. The food was fine, not quite up to the hype of the signs on... More

We stopped in just for a quick snack and beverage. We were quickly given menus when we sat at the bar but no one ever came back to help us. There were only about 5 tables in the place and we saw at least 3 servers. There were two other guys at the bar and when we got up they... More

My family loves this place. Very quaint and cozy. The servers always make us feel so welcome, and the food is great! We always have a great time and an awesome meal here.

I love visiting businesses that support local farms and Potters Tavern is no exception. I recommend the Cheese Appetizer. Food was good with generous servings, more than we needed really. Don't expect to eat and run but the waiter makes up for any delays. I would stop again. *Note to the owner...time to spruce up the patio :^).
