Friendly place full of locals.

My wife and I stopped here twice between trips to and from Albany and Vermont. We stopped twice on Friday evenings about 7:00pm. The restaurant appears to be a favorite of locals from the friendly conversation between staff and customers. Our waitress was fun and informative. She waited on us... read more

The menu is varied, food consistently excellent, and includes two different lobster rolls, one wam the other cold. There is a cozy dining area by the wood fireplace, or seating adjacent to the bar area. Nice holiday brunches, and dinner specials some nights include a personal psychic reading. Other interesting personal touches. Prices are very reasonable and good value for... More

Were driving through, and stopped because we did not see any other restaurants for some time. The only positive was the waiter, and the VERY tiny slice of cheesecake. The Italian wedding soup looked suspiciously like yesterday's left over celery soup. The entrees were not seasoned at all. The crab stuffed haddock smelled fishy before it hit the table. Not... I ordered a pizza to go a month ago and it was really good. this evening tried to call for a pizza to go. I am not surprised that when I called to order no one answered. I got a recorded message instead. since the staff let me know once before that they "knew who I was" when I stopped... More

Went on a Sunday afternoon. One other party in restaurant. We sat at the bar. The waitress who was very pleasant came over and stuck her hand in the water and then wiped the bar off. She said she saw something sticky there. Left the water on the bar. She took outer drink order and served it, no coaster or... More

Every time I go there the food is mediocre at best. their hours are inconsistent. I've been there at 8pm in the middle of a meal with 3 other tables of patrons and the waitress began turning up the chairs and vacuuming around us. I've brought friends there for their prime rib dinner special and my friends joked that they... More

We recently stopped by Potters Tavern for lunch. The service was a little slow but the food was tasty. We enjoyed the potstickers, Connecticut lobster roll and the mac and cheese. The mac and cheese was delicious - should have tried it with the bacon like the table next to us. Next time. Worth a stop for a quick bite... More

First off, let me say, I am a 65 year old, disabled, woman and retired Nurse Midwife, who has NEVER been more humiliated in her life. I stopped here on a cross country trip and ended up meeting with a NY State Police Officer, which was interesting, because I've never had any trouble where I've had to deal with the... More
