I've been to this place a few times. The place smells like bleach or something as unpleasant as that. It is nothing special, but has some authentic Turkish food. The first time I ordered some lamb, which was undercooked and chewy. The second time I ordered some a variety of spreads and something oven-cooked, which was way too greasy. I... More

Too much money for what you get and it was not very good. Bathroom was dirty and that does not look good. Makes me think kitchen is dirty too. Will not go back.

This reminds me of the Middle Eastern restaurants we used to frequent when i was growing up . Seemed like a Family running it. The owners are Turkish - very nice. Bread was unbelievable - best pita i ever had - entrees were really really good too..

On a visit to Rensselaer Polytech, we stopped by Alibaba for dinner, oh what a find! We had some Lentil soup to start, bean salad (huge white beans in a tomato like sauce) and hot piping pita like bread with a dill yogurt dip! Perfect start for a family of carnivores and vegetarians alike!.. We had kababs that were made... More

I stopped for business lunch and the wait staff allowed us to meet and linger and was prompt with our order. We asked for a small plate sampler with Chef's choice. It was out of this work. Nice find on 15th street!

Having spent time in Turkey and also visited again recently I have yet to find a Turkish restaurant that uses such fresh ingredients and sticks to the original preparation. The Lavash and appetizers are outstanding, especially the Ajuka. One could just order a few of these and have quite a meal. The Lahmajun is also exactly as it is prepared... More

My Son and I were craving Lebanese food - tried the place we usually go to and found out they were out of business. So a friend suggested Alibaba in Troy - Turkish, but okay sounds good to us! On street parking was a breeze - however it was 6pm on Friday night after Thanksgiving. The place is nothing to... More

Go for the food, it's a very informal place off the beaten track. The menu has pictures to help decipher the names. It's well worth it.
