It certainly was not the first time that we dined at Lo Porto and found it an absolutely satisfying experience. Their pasta sauce is second to none, their veal dishes super and seafood combinations fresh and generous, Their mega portions mean that your taste buds are in for another treat a day or two later. My husband and I went... More

There was a lot of food. The pasta that came with my meal (to my surprise) was very ordinary, linguini with a tomato sauce. The picata sauce on the chicken was unusual and very tasty, but the mashed potatoes and mixed veg were standard. Good for filling up an RPI student!

We enjoyed our meals but found the seating similar to a cafe where coffee and pastries are all thats on the table. However, in spite of watching the perimeter of our table so as not spill anything, the staff were menu knowledgable, professional, and the atmosphere is pleasantly decorated giving an old Italy feel.

This is my go to place when the family is together for that special meal. Family owned and operated, the owner has always been present (and available to chat) each time that I have dined in this establishment. Almost everything is prepared fresh and this is evident both in the presentation and taste. Their veal dishes are outstanding and they... More

Was excited to go here with my boyfriend after reading some good reviews but we both ended up very disappointed. Service: There was only one other couple in the restaurant and the service was still terrible. We waited over 20 minutes for the bill at the end of our meal.. and I believe that we were falsely charged items because... More

1st time to Troy - I read previous reviews on this restaurant so I was prepared for how unglamorous it looked from the outside. Do not let that stop you!! The food was amazing ! Gina our waitress was helpful with her suggestions and attentive to our needs! The portions are crazy-don't order appetizers because you need room for dinner... More

We found our experience at Lo Porto to be great. They have an extensive Italian menu. There were 4 of us. One person had a glass of wine and the others had soda. The bill came to $120. I found that to be quite reasonable with the quality and quantity of the food we received. The waiter was very pleasant... More

Went a couple nights in the same week while in town to celebrate a college graduation. We had eaten there a couple years ago and couldn't wait to go again. They did not disappoint us! Executive Chef Michael and his home-made recipes were perfectly delicious. Whether you're interested in veal, an interesting vegetarian dish, or a delightful desert, the Chef... More

I had a veal Sorrentini which was succulent Veal with tomato and Egg plant in an olive an tomato sauce. Each were accompanied with home made pasta. Best Italian in years... More
