Great food, great beer!

Really good brews, from nut Browns to IPAs and many more (but those are the ones I like!). Good range of burgers, salads, and more traditional dinners. Upscale pub food, good service. Relatively large restaurant, with upstairs.

We had a group of 12 and I was disappointed to find out they don't take reservations. The wait wasn't too long, but we were there before dinner rush. Our server, Jay, was excellent! He accommodated separate checks and was very friendly. The food was great and they offered beer pairings. They have their own brews as well as several... More

Our first visit, upon the recommendation of friends, did not disappoint. We were looking for a decent meal and a very good craft beer. We found both. The place was busy even for a Wednesday night. It was also walkable to the Best Western which was nice from a parking perspective. If my family member winds up at RPI, I... More

Terrific pub food, wonderful craft lagers and ales, and a fun atmosphere. Located on the edge of the downtown business district on the banks of the Hudson River with outside seating in the warmer months. Never a bad meal or time with friends when it's at Browns. Always busy but we've never been turned away or turned off by a... More

We arrived around 2:30 on a Saturday. It was bustling! Our server Melissa. B was very attentive ! The menu held many tasty options as did the draught list. My honey ordered the porter and the buffalo chicken wrap, I ordered the raspberry cheery ale and the shepherds' pie. So delicious! All dressings and sauces are prepared on site. We... More

Great place to get together with friends. Atmosphere fun. Beer selection is very good. Varies from day to day. I had stout and porter. Both were fresh, full body. Very good. The food, however, is okay. Not terrible, but expected more. Burgers and calamari were over cooked. Speciality burgers not that special. Would go here for the beer, not the food.

We really enjoy going to Brown's for a casual dinner with interesting beers. I'm a big fan of burgers and Brown's does not disappoint. They have a nice dining room with a deck facing the water for nicer weather. And the beer list is always very interesting. In our experience, service has been sometimes good sometimes slow, however we've never... More

We stopped for dinner because we were going to hockey game, we arrived at 4:30 early enough to beat the crowd. No impressed at all. The French Onion soup had so much bread and onions no room for the broth. The loaded fries were cold. Caesar salad was good. Beer was good but not enough to make us come back.

Had fun here. Food was good. Service was a little lacking but worth it in the long run. Get there early if possible.
