The restaurant is beautiful, located in an authentic 1800 castle. We sat in the Garden Room, which was lovely. The service was excellent, the food presentation was excellent, but the food preparation did not follow suit. I would even hesitate to rate the food as average.

I am stunned by all of the positive reviews. This meal was mediocre and overpriced. I don't mind paying a good amount of money for food; my husband and I dine out at fine restaurants every week, but I expect good food and value for my money. This place delivered neither. I ordered the prawns with uni sauce as an... More

As a local, there are many places I like to go to really take in the beauty of the Tarrytown Area. Although this restaurant is pricey, a nice glass of wine and sunset does me just fine to enjoy this place. There aren't many places on the hill in tarrytown that give you a view and are open to the... More

Dined here with a group of co-workers as part of a business meeting. We had the library as a private dining room. First, the Castle Hotel and the overall location are incredible. The building and grounds are extremely well kept. It is located up in the hills among lots of trees. Really nice location. We had cocktails outside of the... More

The "Castle" setting for this restaurant is well worth the trip out to Tarrytown. The brunch menu was delicious. Would be a great place for drinks on the lawn. Service was very slow and left quite a bit to be desired, lots of people, little organization. In all fairness they had an outdoor wedding that day and the weather was... More

A delightful setting. Fantastic Sunday Lunch food. Some very eccentric diners around us made the experience even more interesting.

enjoyed the set menu. my only criticism is that the meal lacked seasoning. however, great ingredients and very attentive and pleasant service. The bar is also great and Oscar, the barman, is full of stories.

I attended a birthday celebration for a family member and was treated to a luncheon that was outstanding. The service was terrific and very attentive. The decor and views were beautiful, but what would you expect from dining in a castle overlooking the Hudson River. And the food was not only delicious but a feast for the eyes. We had... More
