My favorite is the back room.... Brick walls and intimate..... The food is terrific and the waitstaff are very attentive.

It was our first time dining here, chosen based on TA reviews, and did not disappoint. It was not easy to find parking in downtown Tarrytown, so we were late, but they were gracious and gave us a nice corner table. It is not a large place but it has atmosphere - music, pictures, and of course the food. The... More

excellent service, food and magnificent paintings ! The dinner is served in large portions. If more than one person are having dinner at this place, I suggest they share . For sure try the crab cake!

The restaurant we had planned to eat at in Tarrytown was closed for vacation, so on a whim we decided to try this restaurant out because we were intrigued by the thought of trying Brazilian and Portugese food. We shared a salad and the feijoada along with wine and were very happy with our choices. The food was delicious and... More

This was recommended by a friend. I ordered a side salad that come with a unique dressing and was very good. My main course was shrimp and scallops over penne pasta in a tomato based sauce which was good. My wife ordered the most popular dish which was sausage and pork with black beans, spinach and mixed with rice. I... More

Recently ate here before a concert across the street. I had been to Portugal and was intrigued by the menu, which is a mix of Portuguese and Brazilian. They had all the usual fare; feijoada and bacalao. So we shared the salted cod and some mussels. All were very good. They also have some unusual wines. Give it a try.

Beat the crowds--go early, off the usual dining hours. Eating out with your best friends is always a satisfying experience--when you add relaxed ambience, attentive service, and delicious food to the mix, you get a soul-satisfying experience. That's what we had at Sol-Mar this past Saturday. We sat down at 4, and the place was empty except for two men... More

While visiting Tarrytown this past week, I suggested to my wife that we have dinner at Sol-Mar. I had dined there several months before with a friend, prior to attending a concert at the Tarrytown Music Hall which is direcrty across the street. Main Street in Tarrytown offers many choices to eat and both my wife and I were glad... More
