Empire Brewing Company is a contemporary downtown bar and grill with a brewery on the premises. Here, we aspire to provide customers with the best food and libation available by utilizing fresh locally sourced ingredients. Whether it is vegetables and herbs grown in our garden, hops grown by our brewer, locally raised grass-fed Angus beef, or original music performed by our friends, we give our patrons an experience that can only be had at Empire Brewing Company.

The moderately priced and eclectic food menu is complemented by a diverse selection of hand-crafted ales and lagers. In addition to beer, Empire offers cocktails and a large selection of wine.

The atmosphere is casual and festive. The brewing facility is housed in a glass-enclosed work area which provides a view of the massive copper and stainless steel brewing vessels. The food is prepared in a handsome open-performance kitchen allowing patrons visibility of the chef and his assistants.

The interior decor highlights the industrial elements of the microbrewery, the drama of the performance kitchen, and the architectural nuances of the building. The understated design - featuring exposed brick walls, wood beams, and columns - pays homage to the brewing tradition and the pre-existing architecture. With clarity the aim and materials and ambient lighting the accent, a warm and inviting environment has been created for customers to enjoy the music, food, and beverages.

Great Bar, Love their using local produce and game for dinners

One of my favorite meals there was their elk burger. In fact for a few months of travel to Syracuse that seemed to be my staple and what I looked forward to each trip there. The restaurant gets crowded and there is often a wait at the bar until a table frees up. Generally it has a great... read more

The end of the meal tussle for the bill is normal part of the dining experience. My friend got to the waiter first but I wanted to offer my card as well however the waiter was rude and lied to me that a the first charge couldn't be reversed. By the time the manager arrived the moment had passed. Hope... More

Had brunch following my daughter's wedding. The variety of menu selections was great, They served 30 of us fast and friendly. The food, as always, was tasty, fun, and reasonably priced. Others must agree as there was a steady stream of customers the whole time we were there.

Nice place but nothing over the top. Was there late on a Saturday after a BB game and was very crowded. Tough to get a seat and was only serving a limited late night menu. Beers were good and the guacamole dip and flatbread were good.

Many beers to choose from. Tasty burgers. Friendly staff. Need to climb down steep stairs to get from street level to the main entrance. Has outdoor smoking area.

Took my cousin here the other day for a celebratory brew - the place is real neat, semi underground in an old brick building gives a cool feel. Beer was tasty as well, highly recommend the white aphro and black magic stout (VERY GOOD). Will go back again in the near future.

Service was good. It got busy by 6:30, but our waitress kept up. We had Moroccan Chili, Gumbo, Fish & Chips, Jambalaya & Pasta Nola. All good. Martinis were actually good too! Lots of guys there, it did got noisy when it filled up, but not to the point you couldn't hear. Price wasn't too bad.

Visited with a small group for dinner. The place was busy and seemed like a lot of fun. Staff were very friendly and attentive. I ordered the Pasta Nola which was quite good and the portion was huge. Others at the table ordered quesadillas and pizza, both of which looked yummy. Parking available on the street (if you can find... More

This is one of my favorite places downtown! I wish we could go more often! This recent trip was before seeing a show at the Landmark Theater. The truffle fries are a must each time. Not a bad thing on the menu. Great craft beer selection. Nothing warms the heart better than supporting LOCAL! And also I love this place... More
