Empire Brewing Company is a contemporary downtown bar and grill with a brewery on the premises. Here, we aspire to provide customers with the best food and libation available by utilizing fresh locally sourced ingredients. Whether it is vegetables and herbs grown in our garden, hops grown by our brewer, locally raised grass-fed Angus beef, or original music performed by our friends, we give our patrons an experience that can only be had at Empire Brewing Company. The moderately priced and eclectic food menu is complemented by a diverse selection of hand-crafted ales and lagers. In addition to beer, Empire offers cocktails and a large selection of wine. The atmosphere is casual and festive. The brewing facility is housed in a glass-enclosed work area which provides a view of the massive copper and stainless steel brewing vessels. The food is prepared in a handsome open-performance kitchen allowing patrons visibility of the chef and his assistants. The interior decor highlights the industrial elements of the microbrewery, the drama of the performance kitchen, and the architectural nuances of the building. The understated design - featuring exposed brick walls, wood beams, and columns - pays homage to the brewing tradition and the pre-existing architecture. With clarity the aim and materials and ambient lighting the accent, a warm and inviting environment has been created for customers to enjoy the music, food, and beverages.

Sunday Blues Brunch - Nothing Better!

Great music, great food, great drinks and beer with great friends. Can't beat it! Be prepared for a crowd while the music is playing. Get there on the early side unless you want to eat at the bar where you will undoubtedly make new friends. It's a happy place midday on Sunday.

I went by Empire recently and honestly I had not been there in a about 2 years. I was with 2 colleagues from work who were in town and business and we were looking for a good beer and some tasty but different food after a few hours of casual beer consumption. I mentioned Empire and these were all in... More

Ok well 8 of is went and nobody was impressed with the homemade brew at all. I understand everyone will talk great about this place because it is local but in all honesty the food is ok and the brew that is made really isn't good quality. The bright side is the bar itself. Will be awhile before we go... More

The menu was great and we had a hard time keeping our order to small plates and drinks. Our waiter was friendly and helpful.

I've been here a handful of times and I love it! The beer is great, and their flights are a great value. The food is excellent, and we've always had great service.

Just ok - nothing special. Very loud and service not too attentive. The best part was the French fry appetizers.

Great food, Great Atmosphere, Attentive Service. Stopped in here while in Syracuse. Had a great time. Food was way above average bar food.

We had a 45 minute wait on a very busy night in Armory Square; Billy Joel was playing at the Dome. We had drinks at the bar and were served right away by the bartender Brian even though it was 3 deep. Once we were seated we were waited on by Ashley who had a great smile and service to... More

We have never had anything that we didn't like here. The beer is great and the service excellent. You even get an apple on the way out when they are in season.
