Description: Empire Brewing Company is a contemporary downtown bar and grill with a brewery on the premises. Here, we aspire to provide customers with the best food and libation available by utilizing fresh locally sourced ingredients. Whether it is vegetables and herbs grown in our garden, hops grown by our brewer, locally raised grass-fed Angus beef, or original music performed by our friends, we give our patrons an experience that can only be had at Empire Brewing Company. The moderately priced and eclectic food menu is complemented by a diverse selection of hand-crafted ales and lagers. In addition to beer, Empire offers cocktails and a large selection of wine. The atmosphere is casual and festive. The brewing facility is housed in a glass-enclosed work area which provides a view of the massive copper and stainless steel brewing vessels. The food is prepared in a handsome open-performance kitchen allowing patrons visibility of the chef and his assistants. The interior decor highlights the industrial elements of the microbrewery, the drama of the performance kitchen, and the architectural nuances of the building. The understated design - featuring exposed brick walls, wood beams, and columns - pays homage to the brewing tradition and the pre-existing architecture. With clarity the aim and materials and ambient lighting the accent, a warm and inviting environment has been created for customers to enjoy the music, food, and beverages.

We had Sunday Brunch here and everything was great. In addition to the great ambiance, service and food around noon the live music started. I would highly recommend this restaurant.

Food is above average, and consistent. Beer is brewed on site and good also. Fish tacos are one of the things I get regularly. Very fresh.

We went out to celebrate my daughters birthday and she had selected empire brewing. As usual we were not disappointed. The truffle fries are to die for. Normally it is a luch spot for me, but the dinner entrees were diverse and very good. We would definitely go back again anytime.

Sorry to say we arrived in Syracuse too late in the evening to try the food, but it was fun sampling the beers, and the Empire serves small (like half-pint-ish size) glasses so you can work your way around a few different styles. NIce to taste a variety of flavours/styles of beer instead of the typical hops-heavy craft beer which... More

Empire was a nice kid-friendly road trip break from the usual fare. Easy access to downtown from 690- much better than going to chains. Unique old building and good on site brewed beer were positives. Food was decent, and staff was very friendly. Probably needs a bit of an update/refresh. All in all a pretty good experience

We stopped for lunch (of a beer sampler and chicken wrap). Two thirds of the sampler is set by the brewery (including one that tasted like bologna to me) and they were out of a couple of their other options, but we ended up with several good beers among the 6 we were served. We liked the chicken wrap we... More

Went to the Empire Brewing Company for supper with my husband and 2 young children on our overnight in Syracuse. It's very easy to find and we had no trouble finding parking. We were swiftly seated and were pleased to see a nice variety on the children's menu. The regular menu was very appetizing and the beer selection was average.... More

We spent a recent Saturday afternoon here and really enjoyed it. Friendly staff. Good food. And a wide range of beers from which to choose. I had a steak salad which was predictable but good and we sampled some appetizers as well. If you enjoy beer make sure to stop in for a pint.
