Empire Brewing Company is a contemporary downtown bar and grill with a brewery on the premises. Here, we aspire to provide customers with the best food and libation available by utilizing fresh locally sourced ingredients. Whether it is vegetables and herbs grown in our garden, hops grown by our brewer, locally raised grass-fed Angus beef, or original music performed by our friends, we give our patrons an experience that can only be had at Empire Brewing Company. The moderately priced and eclectic food menu is complemented by a diverse selection of hand-crafted ales and lagers. In addition to beer, Empire offers cocktails and a large selection of wine. The atmosphere is casual and festive. The brewing facility is housed in a glass-enclosed work area which provides a view of the massive copper and stainless steel brewing vessels. The food is prepared in a handsome open-performance kitchen allowing patrons visibility of the chef and his assistants. The interior decor highlights the industrial elements of the microbrewery, the drama of the performance kitchen, and the architectural nuances of the building. The understated design - featuring exposed brick walls, wood beams, and columns - pays homage to the brewing tradition and the pre-existing architecture. With clarity the aim and materials and ambient lighting the accent, a warm and inviting environment has been created for customers to enjoy the music, food, and beverages.

We had an awesome lunch at the Empire Brewing Company. This is one of our favorite places in Armory Square. Food and Service was excellent. They also have an excellent selection of micro brews. Don't miss if you are b in Syracuse!

Dave has been making great craft beer for a VERY long time, he continues to the day. Stopped for dinner and a flight during a trip in Cuse, and wasn't disappointed I enjoyed a flight with some great beers including a seasonal IPA that was a Slap in the Face HOP-Bomp!!! Just what I like. Food was good (not as... More

On a solo business trip to Syracuse and was directed to Empire by the Marriott staff. It is several levels. I choose the underground bar dining area. Not real loud, old school looking place. They are a microbrew style and had many good offerings. I had a local ale and a Kobe burger. Burger was darn good and huge. The... More

We heard great things about this place but were a bit put-off when we arrived. There is definitely a hipster, beer-snob feel about this place. The bartender was quite indifferent and didn't even try to sell the story of the brewery and their products so we tried a pint and left. Perhaps I am wrong, but most brew-pubs like to... More

I recently had lunch here on a lazy Sunday afternoon-sadly disappointed! The last time I ate here about one year to the date it was great. Service was slow, food average for some dishes bad for others. I ordered Thai salad and I returned it as chicken was dry and hard obviously day old. The waitress agreed and took it... More

Went here with a group of people. The food was delicious!! I had the most amazing drink, bruised berry champagne pint. I also had the chicken B.L.T which was excellent. I don't drink beer but other seemed to be happy with what they had.

I love it here for so many different reasons. I am not actually a beer drinker, and the food is amazing. I also love that surprisingly I have brought my 4 year old during off times numerous times, and she is always welcome. The service is always top notch as well.
