Empire Brewing Company is a contemporary downtown bar and grill with a brewery on the premises. Here, we aspire to provide customers with the best food and libation available by utilizing fresh locally sourced ingredients. Whether it is vegetables and herbs grown in our garden, hops grown by our brewer, locally raised grass-fed Angus beef, or original music performed by our friends, we give our patrons an experience that can only be had at Empire Brewing Company. The moderately priced and eclectic food menu is complemented by a diverse selection of hand-crafted ales and lagers. In addition to beer, Empire offers cocktails and a large selection of wine. The atmosphere is casual and festive. The brewing facility is housed in a glass-enclosed work area which provides a view of the massive copper and stainless steel brewing vessels. The food is prepared in a handsome open-performance kitchen allowing patrons visibility of the chef and his assistants. The interior decor highlights the industrial elements of the microbrewery, the drama of the performance kitchen, and the architectural nuances of the building. The understated design - featuring exposed brick walls, wood beams, and columns - pays homage to the brewing tradition and the pre-existing architecture. With clarity the aim and materials and ambient lighting the accent, a warm and inviting environment has been created for customers to enjoy the music, food, and beverages.

Not just Bar Food

they brew and serve their own beer, which is very good. I had their Wheat beer and it was excellent. also, the food menu is far beyond a bar menu, the food is very good. cool atmosphere as well; underground cave sort of feel to it. fairly young fun crowd, likely from the nearby Syracuse university.

Good food, good beer, good service, good Atmosphere. We enjoyed it. I am pretty much obsessed with their white Afro beer.

We have eaten here several times. It is always great! There is a large variety on the menu to choose from. We have tried several different items falafel wrap, cheeseburger, Sweet Fire, Farmstead Chili, Gumbo, Andouille Po'Boy, Jambalaya,... Everything was delicious. Some things are very spicy. You can put out the fire in your mouth with their great beers (I... More

Had dinner here after an event and the place wasn't too crowded. That should have been a sign to us. The Good - The beers I tried were pretty good. I liked the IPA and the stout especially. The Bad - Neither my wife nor I particularly cared for our entrees. My andouille po' boy was very plain and uninspired.... More

Food is amazing and portions here are enormous. All told we had the soft pretzels, truffle fries, bentley burgers, and wedge salads. The wedge salad is less of a wedge and more of a head of romaine lettuce, however it was delicious and the homemade dressing was totally on point. The burgers here are fantastic, the bentley burger in particular,... More

Swung by here for a quick bite to eat while traveling for work and was happy I did. The Spicy Pig Burger was delicious. Service was prompt and friendly. I enjoyed their Two Dragons beer which is described as, "This innovative and one of a kind East meets West beer is a truly unique experience. Combining American Craft brewing techniques... More

I just have to say, as a Canadian, I was not prepared to enjoy the on-tap offerings of this establishment as much as I did. My group ordered samplers of all the brews on offer the night we were there, and we all agreed they were, for the most part, excellent. The food was what one would expect in a... More
