My niece took me here. They bake bread the old fashioned way, kneading by hand. We ate sandwiches bought next door, but owned by the same people. Sitting outside, we watched one after another go in and buy bread. The bread is fabulous!

When my children were younger, I had to buy two "flats" that were still warm so that they could snack on it on the way home! I love their "soft-side" and "flat" the best. You need to only get what you will need because it does get hard by the next day. I think this is the best bread in... More

I know it sounds trite, but this little hole-in-the wall bakery produces some exceptional bread. It isn't a Syracuse landmark for nothing! Try a pizza kit--you won't be disappointed.

This place has been around forever~! It offer the BEST ever Italian bread. Baked right there and smells so good as you ride around the neighborhood. There is nothing like going in and purchasing a regular long loaf and a "flat" , get in the car and tear it apart and eat it warm! It never makes it home!! So... More

I remember going here for warm just out of the oven Italian bread with my parents many decades ago. Somethings never change. They only get better! Now, next door to the bakery you can get delicious deli sandwiches made on their wonderful bread. I had a meatball sandwich and my husband had turkey. Both were delicious! Great quick lunch when... The most amazing meatball in a heel ever. They take one of their fresh baked loafs of bread (heel),made right next door, then they cut one small end off of the loaf and pull out the bread from the inside (and offer it to you to eat!). Then they fill it with cheese and fresh and delicious meatballs and sauce... More

Meatballs, sauce and bread to go. $20.00 will fill your belly with the best meatballs, sauce and bread. I agree in the bakery, the clerk is not providing customer service, however the young gentleman who served the meatballs was helpful.

While lacking in pleasant customer service, the bread was delicious and it smelled amazing before we even entered the building. The clerk in the bakery was missing any real customer service skills. We did not order meat or sandwiches next door, the clerk there was busy on her cell phone (UGGGGGG, HUGE PET PEEVE) and nothing makes me walk away... More

We would stop here over 40 years ago with my parents to get bread. It is as good a loaf of fresh bread as you will find anywhere. Simple and fantastic.
