Make a mid-afternoon stop here for a loaf of bread and ended up picking up three massive meatball heroes from the deli. They were huge- basically a half a loaf of their delicious bread. They tunnel out the inside and stuff with four meatballs and sauce. The meatballs were good, not great, and it is far too much bread to... More

Old school, no additives, preservatives, or CO2 injected into this bread. It freezes well and makes awesome toast for breakfast.

Fabulous bread, great customers. Spoke with a family of three generations who have going here for over 60 years while in line. They recommended the sauce and meatballs too, delicious! Will go back when traveling through Syracuse.

There is no other bread like the bread made by Columbus Baking. My memories go back over 50 yrs and the anticipation I had of my parents picking up a flat loaf after church. We took one of our grandchildren there last weekend to buy bread and a loaf of dough to make pizza and I took the opportunity to... More

This is a hole-in -the wall bakery. They only bake bread - no cookies, pastries, pies or other baked goods. BUT, the bread is often hot from the oven. They do one thing, and they do it right. They do sell cold cuts next door, but I have never been on that side of the business. We go strictly for... More

For the absolute best Italian bread in Syracuse you have to go to Columbus Bakery. You can get flat bread, hard crust or Italian sandwich bread. Simply the best.

Ordered two loaves of sandwich bread for a family Italian dinner. It was excellent. Came out hot and fresh!

This is worth the stop to get authentic Italian bread. Make sure you buy at least two because I guarantee you will have eaten the first one before you reach home!

My wife and I have been going to Columbus Bakery for years and actually going back to our college days at S.U. The minute you walk in to their bakery you are transported back to Italy and the mouthwatering smell of freshly baked bread. There have been times that their bread never lasted the trip home before it was consumed... More
