Good food and Beer

Good food and beer, Not a great place for families with children. More of a college bar with good food.

Went for a quick lunch Waitress was fab, really friendly I ordered poutine and was extremely disappointed. The curds were just cut into chunks and the grave and fries not hot enough to melt the curds :( The place did have a nice feel about it and I can image it being s fun place in the evenings or weekend... I enjoyed going to Faegans with my family back in the eighties. I worked there from 1989 through 1992. Every time I head "home" for a visit. I have to have lunch or dinner. The menu has changed considerably since the early nineties. There were so many delicious choices I had a hard time choosing. I finally settled on the... More

We had lunch at Faegan's after touring Syracuse University, which is very close by. The food was quite good. I had a salad with salmon, which was well prepared (and not just lettuce and tomato!) My companion had a burger, which was ordered with chips, but served with fries. The food took an inordinately long time to arrive, and was... More

It's a good place to drink and eat (not so expensive); it's a typical american bar. It's in the Campus area and close to downtown.

Nothing fancy but consistently delivers great burgers, fries along with friendly service. Beer selection is fabulous and staff very knowledgable.

Arrived at 2:30 to watch March Madness then to Billy Joel concert, so we walked right in. Very glad we did! Seat at bar that became very busy around 4:30. Lunch was excellent, service was crazy good despite over hour wait to enter and 2 and half hours for a seat. Very fun atmosphere, lots of TV's and very close... More

Cold winter night. We walked over from our hotel. Got a nice seat by the window. Not quite what we expected though. Poutine was served with really salty, from-a-can, WARM gravy; so warm that the cheese curd was still cold and not melted. Roast beef sandwich was passable, but again, the carmelized onions were way too salty. But on this... More

My french onion soup was cold and lacking in flavor. The rueben sandwich had very fatty meat and soaked through bread. Not impressed.

popped into Faegan's on a recommendation by the hotel concierge... Was very pleased... They were closing the kitchen in 25 minutes but welcomed us in... The food was amazing...especially the Scottish Pie.
