It had been a few years -- for no particular reason -- since we'd visited Gentile's, so this was our first look at the new location. The very nice building, great service, and a terrific lunch really made our day on a recent chilly Friday. The emphasis is on varied, seasonal, and high-quality Italian cuisine, and on interesting flavors and... More

We loved the original Gentile's on Hawley St. Our first meal at the new location on Geddes St. was extremely disappointing. Since, I've had two very good meals there ( one /w husband and one w/ friend) and hope it is now on track. It was always a place for creative, tasty meals, with nice wines and great service. The... Great atmosphere and wine list to go along with exceptionally good food. Their calamari and greens are top-notch. Very diverse menu and good wine list. Best thing is on Tuesday's you can bring your own wine. Lively bar makes Gentile's a true dining experience

Gentile's is by far my favorite restaurant in Syracuse, so every birthday, that's my pick. I have never had a less than exceptional meal there. The specials are amazing, the wait staff is courteous, and Chef Kevin Gentile is by far one of the most talented around. If you're looking for something special, something different, or something that will make... More

My mother is in a wheelchair she uses for transport. She is able to walk a few steps with a walker. This restaurant was not accessible via wheelchair. She was able to walk to the restroom. Unfortunately, the two steps she had climb to the restroom did not have any railings. Very dissappointed with this restaurant and will never return.... More

Awesome atmosphere, but something slipped when Gentile's moved to its new location. Service used to be top-notch with extremely professional, knowledgeable waitstaff; now it is adequate. Food used to be over-the-top sublime; now it is merely good. Oh well, nothing stays the same forever.

We love Gentiles cutting edge cuisine pairing unreal foods in a delicious symphony. Service usually good. This is the second time we have been seated at the table in front of the open kitchen and it will be our last. We have been to several open kitchens in Syracuse..Asti Carrabas and NONE are this loud! We went with family 8... More

While visiting the area (we are from nj) we were told this was the best place in town. While the restaurant itself is beautiful inside and the staff is friendly, the food is way overpriced for the quality. We had te prosciutto wrapped asparagus over polenta for an appetizer. It was decent but the prosciutto was thick and very chewy,... More
