Have been to the Clam Bar a couple times while in NY and have had a great meal each time! It gets packed, so try and get there early. My husband got the King Crab Legs, which he loved and I got the fried Haddock, which was HUGE! I did eat the entire thing, which I didn't think I would,... More

We were recommended by our hotel and this little restaurant was close by. Are we glad we found this place! Fresh delicious seafood.....clams and scallops so briny and sweet they could have been in the ocean minutes before. We ended up eating here EVERY NIGHT and could not have been more pleased with our meals. Skip the healthy stuff....salads are... More

We've been to The Clam Bar several times, but not in a long time & not for lunch. The menu was extensive, many seafood & other choices for lunch at very reasonable prices. I decided to have the garlic mussels. I expected a dish of black mussels, but received a plate of the green New Zeland mussels that you can... More

I loved this place. Small, great atmosphere, great food. Quick friendly service. Not a very flashy place, pay attention when your looking for it or you'll miss it, and get there early, when we left there was a line up waiting for a table.

This cozy locals spot is the place for the best clams. Best on the half shell, but they make them many ways including, casino, provencal, steamed, in their chowder and also garlic and oil. I had them on the half shell and provencal. Definitely do the half shell, super fresh. Love the atmosphere of a small local gem. Loved the... More

New ownership seems to have taken its toll on the Clam Bar located in North Syracuse, NY. Besides the fact the bar is always packed full of its daily regulars it's a bad sign when the new owners seem to bunk right up to the bar every night to drink. Although the food seems to have changed a tad, I... More

Some will say that I am biased because I frequent this restaurant/bar, however, I have tried many items on the menu and have not been disappointed. Seafood is fresh, prepared properly. They have daily specials that are very tasty and creatively different than the "normal" menu. So far, only one appetizer that I did not care for, and maybe I... More

Clam chowder we had yesterday afternoon was so good.... 3 of us went out for a late lunch, around 2pm, which was starting to thin out, always being over crowded..... 3 of us chose from the special menu.... being Friday.... Fish was perfectly cook.... I don't like fries, chose a salad on the side, even though I had talked to... More

If you are looking for a seafood experience.. go elsewhere... I know this place has a fortitude of regulars that like this place.. but I must say, its only because they are regulars and really don't have a clue about seafood.. The place is jammed pack on the weekends so, why change anything right ?? Well because your regulars won't... More
