Local place with a pretty good menu. Fried Haddock is a house speciality and well worth the calorie splurge. Nice, friendly waitstaff and bartender. Five TV'S with sports in the bar.

We ate at the Clam Bar this month while meeting in Syracuse, and enjoyed another fine meal there. Perhaps the only problem we experienced was getting six of us together at a single table, because the place is small and cannot easily accommodate larger groups, but we did get it to work. The food here is always really good. Not... More

great little hole-in-the-wall local joint. food is good and not too expensive. it's always busy there, and the menu is pretty extensive for the compact size of the place. it's obviously a local hangout.

The Clam Bar is excellent. They serve the best seafood around. Consistently good food, great daily specials, creative and innovative dishes, friendly service and a great bar area (in case you go when they're busy... and they're often busy, because the food is great! Go here, you will love it

My wife and I live in Maine and visit Boston MA and other shore areas in New England often. Believe it or not, this up-state NY restaurant has BETTER Clams Casino than we have found anywhere near home! We always order them a single dozen at time, split the serving to keep them coming hot and make a meal out... More

My husband and I had dinner at the Clam Bar earlier this evening. Even on a Monday night, the place was busy and we had a five minute wait for a table. The bar and restaurant are small, but comfortable. Our waitress was new and told us it was only her second day working there. She did a very good... More

We were guided here by our hotel guest services. We were not disappointed by the recommendation. When other reviewers say "get here early," they are right on. We got there at 5:30 and the place was already packed with a 10-15 minute wait. We had drinks at the bar and the time flew by, but by then were enjoying the... More

This place was hopping when we arrived on a Friday night, but we didn't mind waiting. We grabbed a glass of wine and went outside to wait on the patio. It was a mild October night and the other patrons outside were friendly and didn't mind sharing a bit about the area. Soon enough our table was ready. We enjoyed... More

Have been to the Clam Bar a couple times while in NY and have had a great meal each time! It gets packed, so try and get there early. My husband got the King Crab Legs, which he loved and I got the fried Haddock, which was HUGE! I did eat the entire thing, which I didn't think I would,... More

We were recommended by our hotel and this little restaurant was close by. Are we glad we found this place! Fresh delicious seafood.....clams and scallops so briny and sweet they could have been in the ocean minutes before. We ended up eating here EVERY NIGHT and could not have been more pleased with our meals. Skip the healthy stuff....salads are... More
