Seafood goodness

Small space, big flavor. Everything is fresh from the apps to the entrées to the desserts. Busy bar and busy restaurant for good reason.

The seafood was very good. I sat at the bar and the bartender was not to friendly. He was to his regular customers. The place is a hole in the wall that serves lots of booze at lunch Lol. The place could have been cleaner. The prices were very good.

Went there on a Friday night just before 5pm. The place was just getting busy and we got a booth for four of us right away. Two of us ordered the Cioppino, it had clams, mussels, scallops and shrimp over choice of pasta. We asked if the chef could make it spicier, Diavlo style and they did. It was fantastic,... More

First time visit, my family and I went for lunch on a Tuesday and the place was packed! From the bar to all but one table, I'd say that's some kind of reputation right there. The place is small with about 20 tables/booths and bar seating. From what we were told it's been in business over 40 yrs and haven't... More

Very crowded on a Tuesday night, but they did their best to give us a semi-private table. The food was very good. Don't let the modest outside appearance fool you, eat here you'll thank me. Really like the seafood. The service was almost too much. Our waitress came back to the table and was almost disruptive when "checking in" on... More

We went on a Tuesday night and they were packed! We waited about 20 minutes for a table. The server was attentive and the food was very good! I ordered one of the specials. It was blue crab ravioli with scallops and shrimp in a mushroom vodka sauce. It was reasonably priced and delicious!

I stopped in for lunch in Sept 2015. This is a small building, but had more seating than I thought. I was seated immediately by a very pleasant waitress. The place has a 70's decor, which I found interesting. I had clam chowder and a dozen steamers for lunch. They were both very good and an inexpensive lunch. Food was... More

We were looking for something different in Syracuse. The Clam Bar was very popular on a Friday night. We waited at least 1/2 hour and our table was cramped for 4 people plus a toddler. Food was delicious, service was good. We would go back - but maybe not on a Friday night.

A few of us went here for dinner on Tuesday night after our meeting....we got in without a wait, which is always nice. The fried oyster appetizers were wonderful, and my scallops (broiled) were also superb. One of the guys didn't care for the smell of his fish, so the restaurant graciously exchanged it for another dish. Everything else was... More
