Good beer selection. Sandwich (ham/cheese) was decent but the fries were undercooked. They fixed it immediately. The place does have some character but could use some upgrading. I will be back.

it was okay. the turkey was real, the cranberry was a canned sliced, not what i really expected. I remember the original Danzer's great sandwiches, great cold beer in mugs. we'll be back but its not the sane.

Went on a Saturday evening, early. Seated promptly, service was very attentive. We had sauerbraten, potato pancakes, and Reuben. Sauerbraten had a nice, tangy sauce, meat was a bit dry, but overall good. Potato pancakes, with sour cream were a bit thick, and not as crispy as I would have liked. The Reuben was excellent. Large, tasty desserts finished things... More

went to danzer's before the syracuse-duke basketball game and had some nice german food. i had the sampler meat plate and my wife the wein schnitz. ample portions as everyone except me took some home, i had to finish it all! good food at reasonable prices, we will come back.

Disappointed with SauerBratten-overcooked, dry eye of round. Sauce good. Noodles, red cabbage good. Server very good, right with us on all requests. Have previously had Reuben and corn beef sandwiches-those very good, hearty portions. Can easily be shared. Daughter had cheese steak-very good.

Have been to danzer's a couple of times, most recently earlier tonight. The food is not german. Got some spaten and the glass was not clean, no lacing whatsoever, and the beer was warm. The building itself was a dump, and I'm certain there are numerous code violations, including a group of outlets with multiple adapters hanging from a single... More

then you might love this place. If you're looking for authentic or delicious, then you're better off elsewhere. The food was oversalted and generally boring. I like German food very much, but there's clearly not enough of a german population in Syracuse to hold this place to even minimal standards. If you're craving German food you should go to Five... and needs some TLC. Also the menu is all over the place, trying to do some of everything. Should stick to German dishes.

We used to eat at Danzers, the wonderful German restaurant in Syracuse, back in the 1970s. So we decided while passing through town last night to stop in for a sentimental return to this wonderful place. The restaurant itself isn't much to look at, with a lpain exterior and a dining room that features Keno Lottery and television sets showing... More
