First time visit to this restaurant with my son who had been several times. Immediate good vibe on entering. Quick seating and service. Our server was friendly and informative. My split pea soup was fresh, delicious, and plentiful. Coupled with two pieces of the spicy jalapeno corn bread, my meal was perfect. The burritos of my fellow diners were huge... More

I was last here 6 years and decided to try it again for lunch. The place is cutely decorated and I wanted so much to like it. However, both burritos were cold and the rice (side of rice and beans) tasted like it came out of a box. The cornbread was warm and tasty. The food was cold but the... More

This is top local Syracuse fare! Best Mexican in Syracuse hands down. Great service, delicious fresh food, very relaxing but chic atmosphere. Flavor explosion in your mouth for anyone craving Jamaican jerk chicken with mango pineapple salsa or rice and beans 😍 best ever!

Been here a couple times now since our son started school up here. LOVE LOVE LOVE the nacho fries, and the warm/toasted jalapeño cornbread with vanilla butter is a revelation. Great atmosphere, too. The shade of green (guacamole?) on the walls inspires me, as does all the art. We've had a bit of a wait (20-40 min) on the weekends,... More

If Alto Cinco ever goes broke (heaven forbid), the entire university neighborhood would be lost. The catfish burritos are legendary. (Burritos are huge--you'll enjoy leftovers next day.) I usually order the "grilled shrimp entree" or a salad, but recently I've been craving jerk chicken tacos. I recommend ordering whatever wine is on special. If you're a local, AC is already... More

Waited forever for food, forgot our drinks, and the food was average at best. I travel to Mexico yearly and this was far from authentic food.

I wasn't impressed with the food or service at the S. Warren St . Location. The dressing on the tacos had a strong vinegar taste. I also had to ask for another drink . 78 bucks for 4 drinks and 3 meals that consisted of 5 tacos and 1 burrito. Save your time and money and go elsewhere.

Was in Syracuse on business with a colleague and had no idea where to eat! Trip advisor saved the day again. Great service, food and portions in this casual setting. I will totally be back. I got the shrimp tacos and they were great!!
