This is my second time at the restaurant. They now have an expanded dining area, which is nice as the restaurant was a bit crowded before.. Be aware that they only serve beer and wine. The food was very good and different absolutely not your usual Mexican fare. We had the catfish burrito, chicken tacos and shrimp tostada. All very... More

Went here because of the good reviews, but were very disappointed. We walked in and even though restaurant was not busy, it took a while to get seated. Once seated, it was over 10 minutes before we were able to order drinks. Our waiter seemed in a hurry and barely made eye contact. We ordered queso and when meal came... More

You will love the relaxed atmosphere in the city. Westcott Street is a great neighborhood with a lively interesting scene. New twist on Mexican and great vegetarian options. Would go here on any occasion. Take out and delivery in Syracuse. Not your typical Mexican but very creative and fun. Don't know what else I can say. I cannot seem to... More

I was in Syracuse for work and my work-friends and I decided to grab lunch here based on reviews we read on-line that said it was a must-do. When I walked into the restaurant, I was impressed by the rustic decor and spaciousness. It felt like you could really have a good time there. However, it was 10 minutes before... More

If you're looking for the typical mexican food experience, you will not find it here. I would call it more Mexican inspired. The flavors types are the same but used in a more creative and vibrant fashion. The cat fish is perfectly prepared and served in all of the burrito, enchalada and taco applications. The guacamole is bright and flavorfull.... More

My husband and I visited Alto Cinco for the first time a few weeks ago. We had not had any luck finding an authentic Mexican restaurant in Syracuse, and had high hopes. Sadly, and as it turns out not too surprisingly, we were disappointed. I'm not sure if their chefs have ever eaten authentic Mexican food before, but the flavors... More

While passing through town we checked out TripAdvisor and decided to stop based on their unusual take on Mexican dishes. Unfortunately we hit the Saturday evening rush and since we did not want to wait 40 mins for a table we ate at the bar - which we have no issue with... normally. The problem was the two bartenders screwed... More

I love this place - especially since they expanded in size. I really enjoy the burritos for dinner, but I had a breakfast burrito for brunch a few weeks ago and it was especially phenomenal. Great beer choices, high quality ingredients, and good ambiance. Highly recommend.

Had lunch here while visiting town. Did not disappoint. Had the jerk chicken tacos which were very tasty. I still think it is a tad overpriced as I did when I lived in Syracuse, but the food was good and it was not crowded for lunch, so I enjoyed it.
