As an Italian who grew up eating at Nonna's house, I'm typically very critical when it comes to Italian restaurants. I was pleasantly surprised at the authentic nature of the food at this crowded local hangout. Service was good and food was excellent. The Carbonara was creamy and salty with the sweetness of peas. The portions were large and food... More

We are regulars at this fantastic establishment. We first ate here about 3 years ago and make the 30 mile drive on a regular basis now to have dinner here. Being in food and beverage for my entire life, I consider myself to be rather particular when it comes to all of the aspects of eating out. My categories are:... More

I had a dinner and 2 lunches here during my stay because it was convenient to my locale. The lunch is a quick pick up your meal from the counter fare. I had pasta both times, once with Alfredo and once with a tomato sauce, with chicken on top. For dinner, I had the chicken parmigiana. The pasta was homemade,... More

I was in Syracuse on a layover so I actually checked out Food Network's Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives to see where a good place to go would be. There was a line out the door for a lunch so I got excited. I ordered the homemade fettuccini with the signature spicy tomato oil and topped it with grilled chicken. The... More

Our apologies for the chicken, and thank you for sharing your thoughts. If you do come to Pastabilities for lunch again, we do have two large stainless steel water dispensers full of filtered tap water (one with lemons added) behind the cashier next to our ice machine and water glasses. This allows people to serve themselves water and remains consistent... More

Deceptively large, Pastabilities has some real good food. Home-made, fresh pastas always do it for me. The signature sauce, a blend of spice, olive oil and tomato sauce is a local favorite and can be had as an appetizer or on a main dish. Good stuff. However, we felt rushed from the moment we sat down. The waitress was very... More

It is true that no one likes to be rushed, and we apologize for leaving you and your guests with that feeling. We were busy for a Tuesday evening, and while your server had good intentions in repeatedly approaching your table, that is no excuse for making you and your guests feel rushed. We again offer our apologies, and we... More

I came in for lunch with some friends. The menu is really hard to read. I did not like that the only soda choices were some tiny cans of diet pepsi. A tad overpriced and no service of note. Missing the charm it reportedly has.

This is probably my favorite restaurant in the world! Get there a bit early because it can get very busy, even on weekdays, but it is so worth the wait! The food is phenomenal and the service is great! Their specialty spicy tomato oil they serve free with bread at each table is amazing!! Their pink vodka pasta is wonderful... More

We ate here back in December. We were excited to try it out after reading reviews but no one in our party of four would make an effort to return again. The tables are very packed in and the food was bland. The bolognese was just not good and the wicky wicky's were hot without much more. We wanted to... More
