This is a very popular locale. During the noon hour it must be a madhouse. My wife and I got there at 1:15. The facility is quite small. On entering there were five guys standing and waiting to take our order. They then made the amazing sandwiches within a minute or so. There are blackboards describing all of the special... More

My wife and I visited Darwin last Friday for lunch - the menu changes frequently and you may not ever see the same item on the menu again. I had the Perfect Storm consisting of a Maryland crab cake stacked with fresh fried haddock on a sesame bread with lettuce, tomato, red onion and hot pepper mayo/tartar sauce. My wife... More

This is a great example of a tiny little place, easily missed, with excellent food. Only open for lunch. The menu is limited but changes up just about every other week. Definitely worth checking out. Usually super busy between 12-1.

Had to find lunch quickly within walking distance of the hotel before my client meeting. I asked a local on the street for s. uggestions and he recommended subway...REALLY? The next local I talked to swore that Darwin had the best sandwiches in town so I had to try it and man am I glad that I did. Darwin "#ROCKedit!!"... More

We had a business meeting in Syracuse and the wonderful hosts ordered an assortment of sandwiches from the deli. I wanted to write this review mostly as a record so I when I return I can visit and order from there again. I had something called a Pineapple express which was chicken with grilled pineapple. Everyone wolfed their sandwiches down... More

Myself, co-workers and organization order from here frequently. We have placed well over fifty orders from here large and small. Overall we have had very few disappointments. When we order for meetings we have them cut the sandwiches in half and for most people at the meetings that is enough. Some people take two. I myself find the sandwich size... More

Darwin's is more for lunch than anything because they close early afternoon. They have the most original soups that are absolutely delicious and the sandwiches are always on the freshest bread. They change the menu constantly. Lunchtime gets pretty hectic sometimes but the staff quick and effiencient and very personable in the process. Mama Davis

My husband and I went to Darwin's based on the reviews we've seen. We got 2 sandwiches, a small bowl of soup, two bags of chips and a cookie for $22. The sandwiches were good, but I must say, I was a little underwhelmed. Reviews I had seen proclaimed this place as "the best sandwich shop ever." Unfortunately, I must... More

Not your typical sandwich shop. Daryl was very pleasant and greets the patrons by their first names. Soups were fresh and tasty. Campbell's soup is not here. The menu is not large but the sandwiches are creations and not your typical sandwich. Very tasty. Not very large and seating is limited. Great place to eat. Not open on weekends. Will... More
