We have never had a bad meal here. Owner is lovely and it is an overlooked spot. Love that menu is varied and reasonably priced.

service was terrible, food was not cooked correctly. Wanted to go to Phoebes before a play at Syracuse Stage but they were full - should have went to the pizza place near by

After ordering dinners for a group of people, it took too long for the meals to be ready. Eventually some meals were served while others in the group had to wait at least 10 minutes longer before they were served. Meals were not as expected. Salads that were supposed to have mandarin oranges and cranberries hardly had any. And for... More

Ate here while staying at a nearby hotel, and was very pleased. The food was great, and the service excellent. Our waitress even gave a the name of a great local diner for breakfast the next day. I'd changed the name, though, went in thinking it was an Italian restaurant.

Located near Syracuse University this was a very quiet place on a Saturday night in June. We had the started with some local beers that were very good. We had the wild mushroom pillows that I found a bit greasy. I had the Asian Arrabiata with chicken which was very good and very filling although I could could not taste... More

The Caesar Salad is actually a grilled half head of romaine. The dressing is good, croutons are absent, and the dirty root end was left on the lettuce. I appreciate the fried capers, but the plain lemon wedges don't necessarily work with the "deconstructed" thing,, they need to be manipulated somehow. Needs more cheese too. The fried calamari is just... More

Visited Dolce Vita before Syracuse Stage. Seems like we are always dealing with some minor issue before we can run across the street for the show. Last visit, the check was wrong. Charged for a bottle of wine which we didn't have. Prices are a bit heftier than Phoebe's. $6 for a bowl of meatless soup. $10 for a glass... More

We recently dined at Dolce Vita with some friends who were visiting from out of town. We arrived about 45 minutes before dinner was being served since we were coming from a basketball game. The bartender, who was also waiting tables, immediately invited us to sit down and have a drink. As soon as the chef arrived, he told us... More

Choices of meals vary periodically providing exposure to foods prepared in ways unfamiliar to most American's taste - I say this in a positive way. This is a non-typical restaurant. Appetizers at the bar is a nice pre-theatre meal. Drinks are a tad expensive but preparation, service and presentation is very nice.

Great food... Out of a lot of stuff... Worth the visit... Waitress was pleasant... Construction outside should not keep you from going... A new favorite little spot to pop into in short notice.
