Bittersweet is a tiny place that's hard to find, though it's just half a block off Salina, the main street, downtown Syracuse. I like the classy wine-bar interior and the wall decor--photos of their desserts, "posed" at various local places. The desserts are beautiful, beautifully presented, and big. They don't have a lot of flavor, however. I've tried the Tiramisu,... More

For a wine bar, the selection was a bit pedestrian. And being a wine and dessert bar they should focus more on having wines pair better with the desserts.

A gem. Perfect hangout with or without dinner. Classy, comfortable and one of the beast value restaurants I've ever visited. A+

This little place is easy to look past, but please do not! I am not a wine drinker, but always wanting to try. This place was perfect. You can order 2 oz glasses for an extremely reasonable price. I was planning to do that, until my server gave me a sample of the Cavit Moscoto. WOW never had a wine... More

I was told that they had the best cakes in the area, so I stopped by for a few pieces to bring home. Both cakes were extremely dry and lacked any flavor. I would avoid this place.

I went here in the winter with some friends for dessert and wine. It was warm, cozy, dimly lit and busy inside. We sat at the wine bar and all ordered a different dessert and glass of wine. I had the tiramisu, which wasn't made with ladyfingers per usual but it was still pretty tasty! The prices by the glass... More

This is a winner! What a cool place. Great food, great desserts, and hot delicious coffee. The servers were friendly, immediately attentive, bringing bottle of water, extra salad dressing. Even the music was great. We were in town for 1 night and asked our hotel for a recommendation for my birthday -this was perfect. It seems popular with locals as... More

My husband and I dropped in here for something different. The staff was so friendly, sat at the bar with wine, fantastic selection. The we split a Panini, because we needed to save room for dessert. I had the warmed banana bread with ice cream, so yummy. He had strawberry shortcake delicious. Will definetly go again!

My wife and I took our friends here for wine and dessert after a show one evening. First, I love their late hours, and HUGE wine selection. I wish there was a rotating wine list, or even a more extensive/more prestigious wine by the bottle list. But their desserts were huge! Top notch indeed, It wasn't terribly packed for the... More
