This Café may be small in size but makes up for it , with great food ,service, and great value. Not only do you walk away full, you also receive and Education on the history of Sylvan Beach as well as a fantastic view of the Lake. This Café is always busy with repeat customers as well as new customers.

Not only does this place serve up the best food on the beach, they also have the best views AND a fantastic museum of Sylvan Beach memorabilia. It just does not get any better. Don't be fooled by the exterior--this place is a hidden gem and a must for anyone curious about the history of the Beach. We have NEVER... More

We went to the Canal View for a family Easter dinner. The restaurant was very busy but the waitress was very attentive. We had several diet restrictions: gluten free and vegetarian and the restaurant was able to accommodate all. Two fish fries were order and were delicious. I had the roast pork special with real mashed potatoes, very good, all... More

Came up to the area to see family & friends for the holidays. Based on TA reviews, decided to give CanalView a try. I saw they had an Italian Sandwich – meatballs, sausage, mushrooms and peppers on the menu. I wanted chicken instead of sausage and no mushrooms. The owner came to the table to confirm my order and gladly... More

Great selection of menu items, which includes, pasta, steaks, chicken and fish. Reasonable priced and good. Service is very friendly. The Italian wedding soup is homemade and so good. On weekends can be very busy and might experience a wait.

The Canal View is located just off the lake and along side the barge canal. It sits next to a quaint, old time amusement park and has plenty of old and odd bits of local history for decoration. I have never had a bad meal and the help is always friendly and professional. The prices are very reasonable and I... More

Excellent food and service. this is one of those restaurants that has everything and you wonder how they do it. Then you get the food and it is great. Home cooked meal with excellent portions. The only thing they don't have is pizza! The location is great right on the canal.
