Locals recommended it....it was ok.

We came into Sylvan Beach by boat and wanted a place for lunch. We were advised to eat at Eddie's. The sandwiches were big. The best item our table had was the Eddie's Antipasti Salad. We did not have room for dessert, but the pie's looked very large.

I am amazed that Eddie's has been able to progress into todays modern world while still maintaining the original quality and service that has made this restaurant a landmark for many years. The food and service were as good on our recent visit as they have been for over 50 years. They even still bake all their pies and they... More

This place has been around since the 1930's and up until this past year, I thought the food was perfection. However, over the years, the menu has expanded and I think they should have stayed with their greats: Hot ham, bbq pork- and beef, fish sandwich, and the amazing cream pies. I did have a hot-ham sandwich there this past... More

Time has held still here since the mid-1940's. My father used to come here to hear the great swing musicians and singers of which he and many other held in high esteem post-WWII. They are not here now, but their legacy is all over the walls to greet you like friends you wish you had and make you smile. And... More

Over the years when I visit home going to eddies has been a tradition and one which I think I can live without. The food is so so with high prices. There are so many other choices with better food.

Couldn't believe it today. Went for lunch. Ordered my raspberry iced tea. It arrived and I drank it waiting for my food order. The waitress asked if I would like a glass of water since I had ordered the hot ham. I said yes and wondered why she didn't offer me a refill. When she came back later I asked... More

I wouldn't eat here again. The decor is very dated and so is the menu. The food was ok, but nothing I'd want again. The waitress was very friendly and nice to our kids, though. I thought it was expensive for the quality. $5 for a slice of pie that was mostly cool-whip style fake whipped cream. The chicken in... More

If your looking for an old Diner with bland food and no appeal, this is the spot for you. Despite being one pf the oldest eateries in Sylvan Beach, it is amazing to think that this place has lasted this long with such terrible food quality. It may be that most of their clientele were alive when they first opened... More

When in Sylvan Beach be sure to avoid Eddie's restaurant ! A place once known for good food does no longer exist. My husband and I were there this summer, the portions were small, restaurant was dirty, service was poor, and the prices were extremely high. We asked for raspberry ice tea and instead was given regular ice tea with... More
