Good romanian food

Good Romanian Food! Ambiance is nice. Very cool outdoor seating. Definitely try their lamb! Service can be a little slow, but not painstaking. Would I go there again? Definitely! I try to go there whenever i am in queens. Thanks for a great dinner!

I had dinner with some of my friends at this restaurant, in May, and it was great. I am looking forward to going back soon.

There are plenty of Romanian restaurants in New York and many of them in Queens. This is a new, refreshing one with traditional Romanian cooking at its best! Not less than Mother's cooking and we all know how mothers cook! We enjoyed the dinner with Romanian specialties and an excellent Jidvei Gewürztraminer. Pofta buna!

We went - again - to the Romanian Garden hoping that we'll experience a good meal. Not only that, we had the special food made for Passover: "drob de miel" (a kind of lamb loaf), lamb roast with fries and pickles. The food was great, like my mom used to make (and my mom was a wonderful cook!). Worth the... More

I would rate this place "very good" but for the service. The food was hearty and HUGE portions were served, but the staff made me and a friend wait for a very long time, and you certainly had the feeling that "outsiders" were not as welcomed. The outside space is nice, but expect smoking, at least in the evening hours.

I will never come to this place again. Our experience there was pretty gross.Nothing approaching any sort of fine dining. Go once if you want to try Romanian food ,but the second time go somewhere else.

We went to Romanian Garden twice. Ordered the babaganoush (vinete) , veal brain, stuffed cabbage, pork steak, schnitzfoods ripe soup, mitten, profiteroles. Everything was excellent, like home made. They have Romanian wine and beer. Accommodates larger groups, as well.

This is a restaurant which any romanian (and not only) should try. Cozy, warming, clean and very good romanian food. Service is good as well but it can be little slow if they are busy. Just give it a try; if you are romanian you will love it, if you are other nationality you may fall in love with romanian... More
