From the time they opened my family were regular (once a week or more) patrons. Awesome prices, tasty food and the owner was a true old-fashioned tavern keeper who made it his business to learn and remember your name. I actually couldn't understand how he made ends meet charging so little money for so much food. Prices rose (understandable), portions... More

By far the best meals we had in N.Y. Was working there during Huricane Sandy. Goooood home style meals. Owners wife and wait staff treated us like neighbors. Very Friendly, so much so , I'm bringing the wife back with me in April / May (from Michigan) , then onto some sightseeing in NY, NY. I probably wouldn't be coming... More

Stop there for dinner after a long day of work in Woodberry on suggestion from my boss. Very nice and cool Irish ambiance pub-restaurant style. I ordered the special of the day (Surf n' Turf) with a baked potato, and it was delicious. My boss also really enjoyed his plate. We had a great time chit-chatting, eating and watching the... More

To start, the shamrock has something for everyone on menu. Had a good burger and a beer while watching any sport you like. Friday nights find a prime rib special. Good food and good fun.

Make it a point to stop in at The Shamrock Hotel. The people are very friendly, atmosphere is nice and welcoming, they make you feel like home. Well the most important thing is the food. The fish is so fresh and many varieties, meat, sandwiches everything is so GOOD. The prices are so reasonable, do not miss this gem.

poor variety bar type of food. would not go to again. We were not impressed at all. It's mostly a local bar hangout .

We have been to the Shamrock many times. I have to say we love the homemade soup as much as the very reasonable pricing at the Shamrock. It is cash only due to the special pricing. They make a great drink at a fair price too. We like the steak and well as the grilled chicked. Most meals come with... More

I love Shamrock's fish and chips. My friends enjoyed their meals as well. Prices were good and worth the drive. I love spots like Shamrock, little gems outside of Bergen County but very accessible, comfortable & relaxed. You can even take the train from the NJ Transit Main Line! Wait staff helpful, accommodating. Raised seating area so you can watch... More

It was OK. A couple of friends wanted to meet there. Sat at the bar where service was fair at best. The bartenders weren't that attentive and were a bit cold as well, serving your drink and being done with you ASAP. Almost indifferent. It's an OK environment. Doesn't have that warm and welcoming feeling for a local type place.

At first this place was extremely inexpensive and gave you lots of food. Then they raised the prices, cut down on the portions, and the quality started to dive. After frequenting the place often and sending an inedible steak back, the owner came out and yelled at me. You don't treat customers that way...especially ones that come in on a... More
