A favorite spot but experiences vary!

So here's the low down on bodacious bagels; Get a bagel or get low quality food. Their bagels are really great!!! I love the bodacious and the poppy seed bagels. My absolute favorite use to be a lox, LTO and capers bagel HOWEVER; last 2 times I've ordered my lox favorite, the fish was severely... read more

Wonderful, tasty falafel pitas in an unlikely place. I suspect folks are drawn to the main attraction, which are bagels in a range of interesting flavors. The hidden secret of this place is the amazing falafel. Popular place for students and faculty at nearby SUNY Ulster. Give it a try.

David, the bagelmeister, surely learned his trade in Brooklyn or thereabouts. The bagels are, even for a jaded New Yorker, authentic and super-fresh, with the right combination of crusty "tooth" and chewy interior. The atmosphere is family-greeting casual, and you can watchDavid at work in the back while you wait for your baker's dozen to be bagged or your schmear... More

Several years ago I pulled in the the parking lot. The woman (presumed to be the owner) was outside smoking. She leaned down and put her cigarette out on the ground, and pulled a couple of weeds. I followed her in the store. She walked around the counter and asked me how she could help me. I told her that... More

Seems like the food may sit around a bit … sometimes it is better than others. I stopped going here because of this.

We will be making this part of our day biking trips. The food was authentic Israeli. If you want NYC, then you're looking for the wrong taste. The falafels were fabulous and the bagels, very Israeli. My husband and I loved it and found the staff wonderful. It's the real thing.

This bagel store is mostly a takeout having only a few tables. Their coffee is good and bagels the same. We really liked their Jalapeno cream cheese which was flavorful and different from most bagel stores. They do feature sandwiches and other fast food items but we have only had their bagels.

These are the best bagels around, and don't pass up the humus. The selection is vast and in a taste test you would think these are New York City bagels.

So the bagels are okay, but not New York City bagels, but better than most places. Food is great. Some of the staff is abrasive, which is why I'm actually very intimidated about coming in more often. But David is very sweet.

I tried it once but the "bagels" were just freshly baked rolls in a circular shape.
