This place has really Good rolls according to my Wife and kids. I don't eat seafood. Chicken teriyaki is good as well. I would've given it 5 stars but there is a Language barrier. We couldn't understand everything that was being said.

Fresh, generous, innovative and top-quality. Its all about local sushi and rolls. Establishment is quite basic but food and service are great. Recommended.

I went to the Hokkaido Japanese Steak House and Sushi Bar in Glenmont, NY, NOT the one listed here in Staten Island. Being allergic to fish and seafood, I was naturally hesitant but it was my daughter's birthday and she wanted to go there. We chose to have the food prepared at the grill, right in front of us, watching... More

Have been here a number of times. First to note is the welcome feeling from owners, Michele and her brother Andy. The creativity along with freshness is the key here. Baby shrimp with mango and a honey cilantro sauce! That a mouthful. Excites the senses on every level... Sushi pizza (no mozzarella here). Just fish fish fish. Great. All of... More

Went there with friends, and now even the best sushi I had in my town in NJ seems much less impressive than the ones in this place! Very fresh fish, creative rolls/appetizers, great customer service (they will personalize anything for you) BYOB too!

The food has always been great. Everything always fresh and the staff always very kind. However since the popularity of the restaurant grew, the prices significantly increased. The food is still great, I just don't go as often anymore.

Fish is always fresh & sashimi cuts are generous. Nice variety of rolls. Yellowtail Jalipeno is excellent appetizer. Friendly hostess (Michelle) is always attentive. Very nice Japanese beer that I can't find anywhere else: Orien, is name, I think.

We love to eat here! They have a great lunch special until 3pm Mon-Sat. I have to say that the fish to rice ratio is the best we have found in Staten Island. Plenty of the good stuff and not too much filler. Try it and enjoy.
