This place was a hidden gem within Staten Island that we just stumbled upon. The decor lends itself to be a German tavern but the food is the real draw. We've been here several times now and each time has not been a disappointment. Dinner portions are enormous and delicious to the last bite. Lunch time provides a smaller portion... More

We showed up at 410 looking to have dinner and the server would not give is dinner menu as that didn't start until 430. I would have thought them to be more service oriented. Asked it we could order the venison sausage from dinner menu and we never got an answer. They just showed up after we were served main... More

Great freshly cooked schnitzel and potatoes, cold German beer on tap, and Queen Tipsy playing the blues makes a perfect Saturday night out on Castleton Avenue.

I love this place! Amazing beer - which is always a plus- the mushroom appetizer is a major hit. The bratwurst is very close to what I get in Berlin, the Wiener schnitzel ( even though it is Austrian food ... Hence the word "Wiener" which means "from Vienna") is pretty good too. Love the place!

I recommend this spot over any German place on the island. Very good food at the dining room. General grub in the beer hall. Excellent line of taps. Nice outdoor area if the temp is right.

My wife and I visited the restaurant for my birthday. The waitress was very pleasant and helped me pick out a beer I would like. She recommended the perfect selection. We ordered 2 appetizers. The potato pancakes were delicious. The Nurnberger style sausage dish (forgot the exact name) was just okay. Tasted more like breakfast sausage with a good potato... More

I travel to Germany at least couple of times a year and love German food. Found this restaurant in Google and was extremely DISSAPPOINTED. Wiener schnitzel was made a day before - for 100%-taste of it worse than meat in cheapest fast food place, traditional german pasta heated in microwave and red cabbage sweet... Felt pain in my stomach for... More

One of NYC's best German/Bavarian restaurants. Great imported beers on tap. Authentic dishes served by an uber friendly staff. Try the beer garden in summer months for an even more authentic Bavarian twist. It is worth the trip to Staten Island from the other boroughs (or anywhere else). You will not be disappointed!

A quaint neighborhood German/Bavarian restaurant. I've eaten there several times. It is not very big, but long and narrow with a large collection of beer steins and of course, beers! Everything I have eaten tbere were good. I thought the saurbratten was a bit to sweet but still good. Their homemade sauerkraut is exceptionally good! The potato dumplings are large... More
