Nice Find

Went on a Tuesday night, it filled up fast. appetizers: pretzels skip them not so good for the price, potato pancakes ok, pickled herring good and a lot of it. Rouladen dinner was great and the little potato pan with the smoked pork chop was good. large portions. Would go back

This restaurant is a long-time favorite. Been going here for over 5 years. Huge portions, and very reasonable prices. You will definitely be taking leftovers home. I recommend getting the potato pancakes, the game sausages, the lamb chops and the sauerbraten. Great German beers available on tap and in bottles. They have a few American beers in bottle too, for... More

The wait on a Saturday night can be a bit long but worth it. The brats and other fare are all very tasty, recommend the sauerkraut.

I adore this place. It's small, authentic, and all around great place. The Decor is authentic, the staff is fantastic and the variety of beer second to none in my opinion. I'm generally a simpleton when it comes to food and order the same thing over and over again when I fall in love with it (i.e. the Beef Goulash)... More

My son and I visited after hearing good things about the food and we were not disappointed. We arrived quite early at around 4pm and were able to find a seat no problem. The service was a little slow at first as I didn't think they were expecting diners so early but was very efficient and friendly once we were... More

This place was a hidden gem within Staten Island that we just stumbled upon. The decor lends itself to be a German tavern but the food is the real draw. We've been here several times now and each time has not been a disappointment. Dinner portions are enormous and delicious to the last bite. Lunch time provides a smaller portion... More

We showed up at 410 looking to have dinner and the server would not give is dinner menu as that didn't start until 430. I would have thought them to be more service oriented. Asked it we could order the venison sausage from dinner menu and we never got an answer. They just showed up after we were served main... More

Great freshly cooked schnitzel and potatoes, cold German beer on tap, and Queen Tipsy playing the blues makes a perfect Saturday night out on Castleton Avenue.
