Great Atmosphere, Food, and Service

Basillio Inn is one of the oldest restaurants on the island. It is located on a cul de sac just a few blocks from the bridge. There is an outdoor eating area and even bocce ball courts

My parents and I had a wonderful dinner to celebrate my dad's birthday a little before Christmas. My parents have dietary restrictions, including celiac disease, and Maurizio and his assistant couldn't have been more accommodating. It's very tricky to keep food tasting under those circumstances, yet with their help and the skill in the kitchen, the results were outstanding. Their... More

If you've read my earlier review, you know I'm a fan of Basilio's. We went there for dinner on Saturday, and it was as good as ever -- maybe better. The steak was memorable -- perfectly cooked. Only comment was that the salads -- we shared one featuring pears and another featuring beets -- could have used more taste, but... More

Having been to this "Hidden Gem" years ago and having enjoyed it immensely I might add, we recently returned for a private party. After the VERY delicious meal, we commented "why don't we come here more often?" Well we have returned three times since and each meal was better than the last. The fried calamari was cooked to perfection served... More

Excellent food in a cozy home like atmosphere...the place has been there forever. Many occasions have been celebrated here....and for good reason. The smell of garlic is in the air when you're passing the street in your car....for me that's always a good sign !

They've been here many decades and try to keep their reputation intact. There's a bar and a couple of dining rooms and parking. The food is what you expect on the island, having so many Italian restaurants. Good sauce and good old fashioned Italian cooking. They won some awards years ago, I think for desserts. The dining room gets noisy... More

The oldest restaurant on Staten Island. We haven't been there for quite a while but visited in May 2014 and were very pleased with the food and prices. We went on a Sunday when they have a price fix meal and the choices were very good. They also have reasonable prices on wines. The service was great. Looking forward to... More

Basilio Inn is like stepping off a plane and dining in Italy. It is such a charming setting and there are no pretenses at this charming Italian home style gem. It is set back from the street and has a lovely outdoor seating area that overlooks an herb garden and bocce ball court. The food is simple and delicious. The... More

Incredible food, good service, and a value. This Staten Island gem is the oldest restaurant on the island, and there is a reason for its longevity. The owner personally shops for food and serves large portions that are fresh and delicious. The Pork Osso Bucco is fantastic!!
