I'm a native Islander, and have been going to Basilio since they used to close down for the winter. The owner mostly looks like he's been running all day, but he's always pleasant and nice. The food is excellent, one of my favorite places for broccoli rape. Lots of garlic, good olio d'oliva... The place has been there for generations,... more

Having visited plenty of Restaraunts in Staten Island, we finally found a good one.... Walking into to this restaraunt made us feel like we were back in old world charm, as if our grandparents had spent plenty of nights here. The quality of food was above and beyond. Some of the finest Italian food in an old world setting. The owner creates a mood that undeniably results in complete enjoyment of everything that is served. Would highly recommend it for its food and rustic charm. more
