The place is still in business because of its past. It has gone down hill over the last several years. The service is bad and thefood very hit or miss the owner no longer over see's the kitchen and it shows. more

Had lunch with girlfriend and a friend -- none of us had ever eaten here before so we didn't know what to expect. The food was actually quite good, the waitstaff attentive and the prices reasonable. Not fancy but a great neighborhood restaurant -- hope to return soon. more

My boyfriend and I went here for dinner on a Sunday night. The tables were too close together, where you are basically listening to other peoples' conversations. The pizza wasn't good, and neither was the service. more

We arrived late on a Wednesday evening - just before 9pm - and got the fastest service ever!! Bread was placed on the table and our drinks / food order taken promptly. Trattoria Romana is the best Italian restaurant on Staten Island and probably one of the top rated Italian restaurants in NYC. Chefs, Vittorio and Anthony go out of their way to make sure all of their customers are happy. If you do not see something on the menu, just ask if it can be made. Never have I encountered a... more
