Food excellent, stuffed in like sardines...service ok....specials listed on a board which is not always easy to see....
good food but the tables are very close so you feel like you're sharing your table with strangers. the waiting area is right when you walk into the restaurant so you are all stuffed together like clams.
As an someone of Italian descent who has a pretty refined palate, I think Trattoria is one of the best Italian restaurants I have ever dined at. The food is always super fresh, and cooked with passion under the leadership of chef-owner Vittorio. The staff is friendly and quite helpful. No matter what you order, either from the regular menu... This has been our favorite restaurant on SI for years. We loved it when it was small and watched it expand into the vacant bakery next door. Food is always excellent although it can be pricey. The specials have no prices listed so expect them to be $25 and up. Lately it hasn't been as friendly as in the past.... More
I have been to this restaurant several times as a guest of a friend. I have always found the food fresh & tasty. The food is not your "spaghetti & meatballs" fare as in other Italian restaurants. The food is different than other places & if you have an adventurous palate, I recommend this place. I have had fish, chicken... More

Had a repasse for my uncle and owner Vittorio and staff did an excellent job. Must try the risotto alla piemontese. Excellent, fresh food and an offering of specials with in season ingredients.
As an Italian woman, who's stepmother is from Calabria, I know fine Italian food when I taste it, and this restaurant surpasses my expectations. I have been dining here with my family for the past 17 years, and the delicious food and phenomenal service makes it difficult to enjoy an Italian dinner anywhere else. Aside from offering classic Italian dishes,... More
there is nothing that I can say that is wrong with this place. They are willing to adjust the food to match your food requirements. Food amazing.
The chef is from Italy and is a very creative and intimate artist. Make sure you go when he is there. He comes out every so often and works the room. You can hear the passion in his voice.
