Yum!

This small café/bakery is a wonderful place to visit. We went for lunch and loved it. We had the homemade flower essence iced tea, French onion soup and quiche. They also have a large variety of food items to buy. We bought some jams and a wine bottle stopper. The chef/owner was very nice and... read more

Has never encountered such nasty, disinterested staff anywhere else - disappointing as we were looking forward to a great experience. Ended up leaving the place without being served. Needless to say we will not return.

This place is so good! The croissants are delicious and as good as any we got while over in France. Everything we have had is good- the potato and cauliflower soup is insanely delicious!!! The service can be a bit leisurely but just sit back and relax and enjoy your food. Definitely try this place!

Our breakfast at The French Tart was amoung the best we have ever had. It was like eating in Paris. The setting is beautiful. The service was friendly and prompt. The food was outstanding. Highly recommended!

Can not comment on their food. Went here specifically for the truffles and picked up a few tarts, pastries and macaroons. There were five of us who tasted the assorted items and some items were good, just nothing exceptional for our taste-buds. You really have to try the items for yourself to judge. For us, it will be a (1)... More

One of the best meals I have had on Staten island, and I have been here 50 years. If you are tired of Italian food or just steak, try this place. The chef is a true master. My wife and i each tried a selectiion from Laurent's menu, which was appetizer, main course, and dessert and were not disappointed. And... More

Unfortunately we never got to try anything. The sign on the door says they open at 9 am. We arrived at 8:30 and waited by 9:20 we were frigid and had to leave. Others came and went for the same reason. I was really disappointed, I've been wanting to go for a while. Probably won't return.

After enjoying breakfast and lunch previously finally had dinner and it did not disappoint! Our meals were perfectly cooked and the service was excellent. The menu has a wide variety of choices not typically found in a Staten Island restaurant. Didn't think we had room for desert but Laurent convinced us to try a small plate of chocolates, a perfect... This is a great place that would have a three month waiting list if it were in Manhattan. If you came across this place in Paris, you would be happy. Fine food prepared by a very well trained chef. BYOB.

A return trip did not disappoint We were six people who ordered from regular menu and the tasting menu. The five course menu included crusty bread with chive butter, a appetizer choice...the baked goat cheese on greens was wonderful. This is followed by a fish choice, an entree choice,a cheese course and a dessert choice. Each was wonderful and allows... More
