This was our second visit to Enoteca Maria....service was unfailingly attentive by Melissa......food was so good! We had baked clams as an app.....entrees were the artichoke ravioli with a meat sauce and the veal with artichokes......all delicious....portions were good sized. As a dessert we shared the Napoleon.....wish I had ordered my own! Expresso with Sambucca......Sambucca placed on the table to... More

We took a ferry to Staten Island on Saturday afternoon and wanted to get late lunch. Enoteca Maria was just about to open (3:00 pm) so we went in. We shared prosciutto ham with pineapple as a starter and for the main course we had linguini aglio olio and lasagne. Everything tasted fresh and good. There was also house appetizer... More

This is the best Italian restaurant ever! A "must do" when you're in NYC! The food is authentic and the 'mommas' are awesome!

The food is good and far from your traditional Italian restaurant fare- so honestly, if you're a finicky eater, you may want to check the ever-changing daily menu online to make sure this is the night you want to go. It's always crowded and noisy, which is partly because of the way the restaurant is set up. That's fine if... More

We visited this small restaurant for the first time with another couple on a Saturday night. I was impressed by the menu which offered a special page of what the Grandma had cooked for that evening. They also had the regular menu. The tables are few and the place is tight, however that soon becomes unimportant once the food arrives.... More

My wife and i went on a night when the Sicilian Nonna was cooking and the sauce tasted just like my Nonna's used to taste. The seating is a little tight but the food and service more than makes up for it. Not your typical local Italian restaurant, but a must if you want REAL Italian food.

Enoteca ( Italian for wine cellar) is absolutely an excellent restaurant. The owner of the restaurant hired 7 ladies from 7 different regions of Italy and each one of them cooks one day a week. The ladies have the liberty to cook whatever they feel like cooking As you can understand they cook exactly the way the would at home.there... More

There were six of us who dined. You will need to make a reservation. We had tickets to a show at the St. George Theater next door. If you haven't been there - it's a must. The place is extremely small. There is barely any room between the tables. It's hard not to bump into the person sitting next to... More

Went to Enoteca Maria got my son's birthday. Great concept and delicious food at a cozy, busy restaurant. Great service by the staff especially our waitress Melissa. Would definitely visit again!

Got a real kick out of the "Nonna" she visited our table a couple times to see how we were enjoying our meal . The food and dessert was outstanding , wish they had liquor as we really aren't wine drinkers . We had the charcuterie & cheese platter to go with our wine to start , then some excellent... More
