Enjoyed the experience

My husband and I were looking to take a ride on a nice sunny day so we decided to go to dine here. Either of us had been in over 25 years. The decor was outdated but it added to the experience. We lucked out with a corner table by a window that provided us some privacy and a pretty... read more

Sunday April 12th my wife and I along with two other couples drove to Stafford, Ny just west of Leroy, NY to Red Osier's restaurant. If you like prime rib Red Osier is the place to go and was well worth our 35 minute drive. Red Osier's offers a large variety of dinners from Seafood to pasta to teak and... More

My husband and I had dinner last night with another couple. First let me say the staff were all great, no problem. This is probably the 7th visit for us over 30 years or so. Two of us ordered prime rib (one had grilled, one carved table side) and two of us had a delmonico/Lobster pot combo. My wedge salad... More

If you can overlook the well worn atmosphere, this classic cozy restaurant has great food! Sign up for emails and the coupons are a big deal. Prime rib and Grouper are our favorite entrees. Bananas foster is not only delicious but provide an impressive grand finale! Fresh ground Hawiian Kona Coffee and Magaritas with cactus juice are a real treat!... More

I found the decor and general ambiance seriously outdated, dark and old. Looking forward to a wonderful prime rib and lobster dinner. Service/waitress was very good and the only part I would rate above a five on 1-10 scale. Dinner roles were bland, somewhat stale, salad reasonably fresh and served with crumbly blue cheese. Ordered 16 oz prime rib with... More

A group of four of us met here for dinner last night, and normally this is a great place with very good food (for the locale, anyway). Last night we ran into some problems that I'd never had here before. We sat down and the waitress was right there with the menus, and brought us our drinks quickly, but then... More

Let me start by saying... The water glasses we gross. Dirty with old lipstick and lip smears all over them. When I asked for a glass with out lip stick my sever informed me, dishwasher chemicals don't work. Jumbo shrimp cocktail. Was old and tasted like it was also ran through the dishwasher. Baby back ribs cook days before the... More

The décor needs a definite update. It's old and tired. Food is OK, not outstanding. There are better places within 10 miles with better prices.

There were 11 of us that met at the Red Osier for a family gathering. We were very pleased to see that the restaurant had placed 4 square tables together to form a larger square table that seated 3 on a side, allowing us to see each other on all sides. Our two waitresses were very dilligent and made certain... More

The food was as good as it has been on our last visits. We liked that the Friday fish fry offered fried or breaded fish. Cooked perfectly. Service fast and efficient.
