Exceptional choice of sorbets, one of the best I've seen in the US

We came in for a coffee and some ice cream. And their selection of sorbets is just amazing, unusual and there are few that are really rear to find in any other creamery: they have flavors such as apricot, peach, blueberry, banana, pear, raspberry, traditional strawberry and mango, coco etc. It's... read more

We didn't eat at the restaurant but had sandwiches at the counter. The sandwiches were quite good but the truly outstanding item was the hot chocolate. The behind the counter guy, maybe Louis?, opened up a container of chocolate bits, put them into a metal cup, added steam, then added steamed milk. Wow. A totally chocolate experience; wildly tasty. But,... More

My favorite restaurant in all the Hamptons. We go mainly for lunch in the Fall and Spring and a few times in the Summer. Food consistently excellent and, perhaps because we are regular customers (but who isn't), the reception we receive is always warm and welcoming. I can't object to the high prices as the quality and ambience of the... More

We were so in need of coffee so we stole into this sweet little shop that reminded me of the bakeries in Paris. We each chose a sweet from the counter and our capuccino's were made to order. What a sweet little spot to sneak into and rest. Loved it.

Excellent casual fine dining in SoutHampton, if there is such a thing ;) Small portions that are pricey, I would recommend a nice date dinner. Great bistro tables out front for cool evenings

I have gone there for over ten years and my past dinner experience was disappointing. I had order the spaghetti with seafood. First the waiter brought out a big bowl for the clam shells. When the dish arrived there were two Manila clams in the dish with some julienne calamari. The dish had good flavor but some seafood would have... More

I found it funny, ten years ago, when you'd go to Southampton st. Ambroeus to face the crazy aggressive Italian lady. Now, seriously, is just time for her to retire. She is a deal breaker. And the new rule that between 4 and 6 you can't use the bathroom (as a customer) just shows how little she cares about her... More

Whenever we are in Southampton we make it a point to stop at Sant Ambroeus for a Gelato. It's a taste of Italy and worth the wait on a crowded summer afternoon.

Its a beautiful place to dine. I love the way it is set up - in a long alleyway between two buildings. It reminds me of the many dining experiences i have had in Europe. The service was very good and the food was well prepared and tasteful. I had the sea bass, which was very very tender and flavorful.
