Chef Doug Gujlia has made this wonderful fish-related restaurant into an institution--consistently one of he best restaurants in all the Hamptons.

Plaza never ceases to impress me with the abundance of flavor in the food. The selections are always all so tempting, I have a tough time deciding what to order! The service is phenomenal and the atmosphere is elegant. If you visit during the week, expect a quiet dinner with maybe two other tables occupied. Definitely make a reservation if... More

Had dinner here recently. The service was excellent as was every dish: smoked salmon appetizer, ahi tuna, salmon, and dessert of chocolate mousse cake with cappucino ice cream. Prices are high but not really higher than other restaurants in the Hamptons. A roaring fire added to the atmosphere.

Doug is the best at what he does. I've taken my mother here for New Years, my sister for her birthday, and many dates. I always get the oysters with vodka creme fraiche for an appetizer. For the main course, I've had all them all. I recommend the black crusted seabass if its available. The food is always very good,... More

Food is superb. Can get busy in season. Been there 3-4 times this year, & service is spot on. A bit pricey, but worth it.

We had an amazing meal from start to finish here.....the calamari was tender and prepared with just the perfect seasoning....the swordfish was super fresh and prepared with a delicious ratatouille underneath... Everything we ordered down to the fantastic fresh grilled peach Melba was outstanding...we will be back for more delicious food and great service...

We ate dinner at the Plaza this evening . The decor was lovely . Modest ,muted and very acceptable . It appears to have been redecorated since the last reviews. We selected the price fixe dinner and we felt it was a very good value. The horseradish crusted cod was excellent as was the apple cake . The service was... More

Doug has consistently served Southampton with really fine seafood. And during the summer season, when you can't hear yourself think at most places, Plaza Cafe maintains a sense of civility.

Food was excellent, portions are perfect, 5 star service, worth the price. Everything was perfect. Would eat there again and highly recommend.

Although there was nothing to complain about with the meal, its certainly not a restaurant to put on your bucket list. Overall, the price is not commensurate with the quality or inventiveness of the food. The decor in the restaurant feels data and shabby, although the drinks were very good. The Seafood Shepherd's Pie was a unique dish that I'd... More
