I copied some of another's post because I had the exact experience. Food was good.. The level of noise makes any conversation impossible. Atmosphere candle light reflected in porch windows very charming but the noise was so disturbing I don't understand how this restaurant remains very popular. I could not wait to leave.

We come to the Hamptons out of season and book every dinner here for the long weekend. Fabulous menu with lots of varied choices. Lovely, light room. The waiter even remembered us from our last visit for our anniversary-- such a sweetheart.

We were in Southampton out of season so had no problem getting into the small and intimate restaurant that had been recommended to us. Glad we did as we almost had the place to ourselves. Nice menu selection and decent not great service. I ordered the endive salad with pears and stilton because I was craving something sweet but healthy... More

We had an enjoyable experience here in every way. Although the wine by the glass was a bit extravagant, we both liked our selections. I had an Italian wine that was just wonderful and my husband chose the Pinot Noir. There was a prix fixe menu but selections were somewhat limited and we did find anything that appealed to us... Food was good...dirty martins better than average but the level of noise makes any conversation impossible. Atmosphere candle light reflected in porch windows very charming but the noise was so disturbing I don't understand how this restaurant remains very popular. I could not wait to leave.

Red Bar is a great place for dinner in Southampton. Start with the simple salad with goat cheese toast rounds. I love the roast chicken and the short ribs! And save room for for the profiteroles.

The Redbar Brasserie delivers. It's a lively spot but the hubbub adds to a playful atmosphere that carries over into a delightful menu -- original and delicious from appetizer through dessert (including baked Alaska) with proper service. We liked it -- a lot.
