Expensive and not great value

We booked on a Friday night as we were limited on availability. There was little or no atmosphere in the restaurant, although we sat outside which was nicer. I had 3 children with me and although they had a children's menu available - it was only 5-6pm?? Totally ridiculous, so we had to order... read more

What a great night!!!!! Can't wait to go back. My wife and I arrived a half hour prior to our dinner reservation and started with cocktails at the bar that were PERFECT!!! We then sat at a very nice table for two. It was 7:30pm on a Saturday night and there were many table still empty. I wondered why, but... More

Overpriced and mediocre.Had the chicken which was dry and tasteless.Steaks were pricey and nothing special.Something was going on at the restaurant because we were the only patrons there at 7:30 on a Friday night.I wish I could be more positive since we had a wonderful time with our friends.I have been here before and it was better. Can't imagine they will... I guess that fact that I've not been blown off my feet is better reflected in the fact that Delmonico's Southampton operation is now for sale for $4.6 million, possibly the only price higher than their steaks. So what more can I say? Eat while it's hot!

We used a Groupon voucher for dinner with wine.Delmonico steak was very good but salty.Crab cake was also very good.Risotto was excellent.Wine was great.Baked Akaska was fine. Service was very good and pleasant.Overall a very good experience.Without the Groupon voucher the check would have been $350+.With Groupon it came to around $220 AND THAT IS PRICEY even by Hamptons standards.Also,they... Our dinner out was much anticipated and in honor of one in our group of six. The drinks at the bar were intriguing and tasty. A ginger basil margarita for instance. We were there and seated at a wobbly table that was fixed several minutes later. The menu read in absolutely stunning fashion and the anticipation of a fabulous meal... More

Now Delmonico's and, even though we were expecting something a bit more interesting, it was not bad. The menu does not offer a wide range of selection which is not a bad thing but was a bit boring. The owner, North Italian, was very gracious and the staff was friendly/professional. It was a week day so the place was not... More

I once liked this place, but I will never go there again after our Saturday night disaster. Bad service and food were abundant. The crabcakes were overcooked and over seasoned, the salad had too much dressing, the branzino was tasteless and the mussels although fresh, were cooked in a very unusual broth. We had to ask repeatedly for silverware after... More
