Excellent food--fresh ingredients, plentiful servings, attentive but not imposing service. Oysters w moray sauce over spinach-- light and unique. House made salad dressings well mixed and balanced. Soused scallops and shrimp were delicious--scotch bonnet peppers were the main and clean taste. Seared diver scallops came w both mashed potatoes and wild rice and a side of spinach. Scallops were tender... More

If exterior appearance Is a deciding factor you probably will keep on driving. The brave and adventuresome souls will find good food and friendly people. A take off on old Key West, the bar boasts a 150+ assortment of martins, and a back bar that is up to the challenge of your order. The surprise is through the back arch... More

We dined here and each of the three of us had an excellent meal. The service was friendly and prompt. The ambiance was very comfortable.

My wife and I took a nice long drive one Sunday afternoon from SW Rochester to Sodus Point to check out this place that was recommended by several people to us. They warned us it didn't look the greatest on the outside. They were right, BUT INSIDE!!!!!! First, a spectacular bar specializing in Martini's (and they make GREAT Martini's). Next... More

It is a long drive from Pittsford on a Sunday night but well worth the time for a dinner and service as outstanding as this restaurant. Does not look like much from the outside but the selections on the menu were thoughful and very well prepared. It is very unusual to get your food so hot that you have to... More

This restaurant is a comfortable setting with superb food! There is not another restaurant in the area that compares to this hidden treasure. Though the outside of the building is nothing to write home to mom about, the excellent service and food inside is to die for! The price of an average dinner for two is about $80 but well... More

My wife and I have been here twice in the past 12 months and after reading the reviews posted on this sight I must have been in a different resturant. The service is at best cool not very helpful and the atmosphere is old cottage . The food is over priced and frankly not very good. We will not return

This is a great restaurant, and definitely has the best food from Rochester to Syracuse. As everyone notes, it is very eclectic and, the first time I went here, I had to get past the fact that the it is in and old hotel which looks shabby and run down on the exterior. In fact, I thought the friends we... More

This is a rather eclectic restaurant - much more in keeping with something out of New Orleans. The dining room is rather dark, and decorated in a most exotic fashion. When we visited, it was also VERY lively. THe food was diverse and quite interesting. It will be on the spicy side - as other patrons have mentioned. Prices were... More

this is a great restaurant in Sodus Point, the hotel was built in the mid-1800's and although you may want to drive past the exterior-don't be fooled. I love the decorum- reminding me of old Key Largo and the French Quarter in New Orleans. If you want bright and shiney, then a mall restaurant would suit you better. The menu... More
