For my son's confirmation on a Thursday night we chose Butera's for a dinner for eleven. Parking is usually tight but we arrived early, at 5:30, and didn't have a problem. We always end up getting take out from here since we live nearby. The food is still pipng hot when we get it. Very good and reasonable prices. Just a small nit, I would prefer some of the dishes with a little less oil. Still very good though.

We were there on a Sunday afternoon celebrating a birthday. The staff was attentive, the food was fabulous, and we were able to linger (or fast-forward) as needed. Very nice atmosphere, elegant but not showy... a step above.

The food is good but the noise at this restaurant can be overwhelmingly noisy, especially on a busy Saturday night - and expect to wait for a table unless you have a reservation.

Buteras in Smithtown is a real cozy, romantic, fun for groups type of Tuscany feeling restaurant. It is NOT ciao baby or Olive Garden. It has the sophistication of a top notch restaurant, yet you feel so comfortable here. The food is great! All of their dishes are large sized, but quality is not sacrificed.

This evening I ordered off the prix fixe menu and the meal was average. I began with the fresh mozarella and tomato which was ok, but nothing to rave about.
