A must do

stop in for some of the best baked goods around. I enjoyed fresh squeezed orange juice, hot coffee and the best egg sandwich on ciabatta bread I've ever had.

Seems like the place the locals go to as well as the tourists. Lots of great looking baked goods but I opted for the home-made steel cut oatmeal with walnuts, raisins and brown sugar. Looking around, it seemed like this was a popular choice. Cappuccino was good, too!

This is a very popular place, but we were able to get a table for seven of us for lunch on a Friday. Their grilled cheese was popular with our group and I enjoyed my classic tuna melt. There are so many temptations here (desserts and other treats) that one needs a lot of will power to avoid overeating! Friendly,... More

stopped in to pick up some donuts for breakfast for the family and picked up a few different donuts and some cinnamon rolls. The donuts are cake donuts - those tend to be the most popular in this part of the country. They were good but I prefer the lighter donuts. The cinnamon roll was the big winner though. There... Great service from a hard-working staff. Skaneateles Bakery is a busy favorite place with the locals, and for good reason. The bakery selection is good and the prices are reasonable. Great coffee, too.

Excellent sandwiches. They are large so I order a half sandwich and a cup of soup. (Tomato and mushroom barley are my favorites.) The almond buttercrunch cookies are also very good. You can buy local, cream-on-the-top Wake Robin yogurt here, too.

Hot chocolate and bakery treats were fine, but someone (beside the customer) should clean the tables. But the bathroom (which is clean) has paper towels, which proved useful. Soups look interesting--next time we'll skip the fish place across the street and order a soup or sandwich, and delicious hot chocolate, here.

Smelled good but I could not eat any of the baked goods as I am gluten free. Had a nice salad that was freshly prepared. Small place and luckily not a lot of people there at 2 in the afternoon

The great thing about the Skaneateles Bakery is that as soon as you get near it, you are done! The smell is just incredible. Get one of their doughnuts!

I went there during the Dicken's Holiday event. The shop is not designed to handle any more than a few customers at a time - there was a mass of people and no clear/obvious way to get served in an orderly fashion. After waiting, I decided it wasn't worth it, so I left.
