Description: 18 Bay is a Chef owned and operated restaurant. We serve a four course Italian inspired Chefs menu that is a direct reflection of the local markets. Dinner begins with four different antipasti, followed by a handmade pasta, a choice of entree and dessert. The menu changes every week. We make handcrafted cocktails using organic syrups, serve local wine including two on tap, as well as international wines from small producers. We offer a vegetarian menu and accommodate for any allergies or aversions. We look forward to sharing with you our interpretation of the best of our terroir.

Was here in February 2014, just after they re-open after winter. The restaurant was quiet but the food, wine and service were great. The set menu was the only option, but it had a good amount of choice on it and the food was excellent - the 4 piece anti-pasta starter was fab. Would recommend to anyone looking for something... We heard about 18 Bay at Sylvester Manor north on NY 112. 18 Bay gets some of its produce from Sylvester Manor and other local farms. We were there in late May, a good time for early vegetables. The food was well-presented and cordially served. While the restaurant is in a adapted home, the ambiance was sophisticated, but relaxed in... More

Me and my husband were at this family feeling restaurant few times, mostly just for a couple drinks. We like to sit on bar, it has only around 10 seats, what works for us, service is prompt and really good. Drinks are always delicious! We had dinner here for a special occasion, we made reservation in advance. What amazed me... More

We'd heard a lot about '18 Bay', nearly all of it good. So, boarding the ferry at Sag Harbor for Shelter Island, we were anticipating a special evening. Mainly, this is what it turned out to be. The homely building is a former supermarket. On a late summer Sunday as we entered the restaurant, it felt almost as if we... More

This is a lovely dining experience - I love the prix fixe nature of the menu, which enabled me to try things I normally might not have tried. The entrees were fantastic and the atmosphere was just perfect for a late summer night. Our server was very friendly and attentive.

We have been at 18 Bay when they were in Bayville and liked it very much but the new format here did not work for us. My husband was particularly unhappy with it. The only choices were a small chicken breast or fluke neither of which he would ever order in a restaurant. The small portions of the appetizers were... More

If you ever travel to the East End of Long Island, take the ferry from Greenport to Shelter Island and dine at the 18 Bay restaurant. In our book, this is probably the best restaurant on the island these days. There is a set five course menu at $75 (smaller portions) or you can order individual dishes. The dishes arrive... More

I loved the food at 18 Bay. It's a set menu so you get what your given with a choice between 2 entrees and 2 desserts. Vegetarians and vegans can be catered for if you let them know in advance. The menu is the same all week so you can look online and check if worried something won't be to... More
