Great food with a view

Cute store with great food and nice back deck with a lovely view. The chocolate coffee cake is perfect....and they make excellent coffee. Its a deli where you can take your food and eat it on the back deck. Not much seating, so make sure you grab a table before you order your food.

Enjoyed lunch, especially wonderful french ham and brie on amazing baguette. Reminded me of enjoying lunch in Paris. The soup they served on another visit was fresh, flavorful and a delight. Casual gourmet food that your own wine would complement.

We enjoyed warm chef specialty panini pressed sandwiches - grilled tuna, lentil salad, and more specialty salads. A wide selection of micro brewed lemonades, tea or sparkling waters also abound. The grocery store/market offers specialty items: pastas, jams, cheeses.... fresh baguettes, croissants, pain au chocolate.. and more! You can't beat the view of the wooden boats in the stunning Dering... More

Breakfast Sandwiches are amazing. The baked goods and other food in general was very good for breakfast. Long lines. Hard to park around there too, but a must go.

Love this place, staff are super friendly and quality of food is really good. The daily specials are always worth looking at. Also great shopping for small unusual items and spices etc.

We stopped for breakfast one morning and thought it was very cute. You feel like you have stepped back in time. The staff were very friendly and our pastries were great. They have two communal tables and market items that were mostly organic. Pricey, but organic items usually are. You get what you pay for. They were doing construction on... More

Loved the food, especially the soups and prepared foods. Indispensable option for anyone staying in Shelter Island Heights. Marie, the French Chef, is very warm and welcoming.

We stopped in with some friends for a quick lunch. Marie, an enchanting French lady who owns the place treats every customer like family. I ate a Croque Messour, a delightful sandwich very much like a Panini. There were some just baked Baguettes that came out of their oven. I ordered one and it was just as good as the... More

My husband I crossed Shelter Island, hoping to find a place to have lunch. The first place we tried drove us away with the strong smell of grease in their parking lot. The next place was Reddings. We were drawn at first by the happy expessions on the faces of 2 ladies coming out of the door. Inside, we found... More
