Lunch

Great lunch in a lovely cafe. Unique and delicious menu items. Owner shared with us a freshly made carrot soup to try, it was wonderful. Lovely experience, will definitely go back.

My sister and I stopped for lunch at the quaint and curious Black Cat Cafe. Don't walk or drive there, run! My sister had the Thanksgiving Every Day sandwich. It was incredible!! I had a salad with fresh greens, walnuts, grilled fresh chicken breast, fig balsamic and fig tapanade, and blue cheese. We topped it off with the most delicious... More

I had breakfast yesterday morning at the Black Cat. The food is delicious and the owner, Tony Daou, and his team are wonderfully friendly and provide excellent service. I love the hot chocolate and it's a MUST every visit. It simply feels like home. The food here is prepared with care and reflects both the region and Tony's Lebanese heritage.... More

Perfect fall day stopped in thinking we were going to just get a cup of coffe in this cute little cafe only to discover a true diamond in the country. I'm celiac and can usually only get salads in cafes however Tony and his staff never batted an eye over my allergies and created the most beautiful chicken platter. My... More

Stopped by the Black Cat Cafe while visiting Sharon Springs and the Beekman1802. My wife and I had sandwiches, hers the Blat and mine a turkey bacon tomato/white bread. We added tomato soup with wild rice. The soup was more like a vegetable soup with carrots and celery. It was good , just not what we expected. Given the locale... More

We have stopped in Sharon Springs before and found a handful of great shops, a nice inn and the Black Cat Cafe. This trip, we were traveling on I-90 from Northampton, MA, home to Rochester and it was lunch time. We did a little shopping and then went into the Black Cat. The owner is the chef and she has... We passed by this cafe and decided to stop for lunch. It was cute and unique inside but the tables are so close together that it's tough to move around. The service was odd, we were asked what we wanted without being given a menu (they were on the table but small and with the condiments so we didn't see... More

We needed a break from a drive along the backroads in upstate New York and came across this cafe in the charming town of Sharon Springs. It was just what we needed - fresh, flavorful sandwiches and salads, followed by a bracing cup of coffee. The staff were attentive and pleasant, with a nice mix of regulars and travelers like... Love, love, love this tiny restaurant. The food is unbelievable and the baked goods are excellent. It is always packed during festival season. Tony makes the best pizza and I love the hot chocolate in the Fall, along with amazing breads and other baked goodies.
