We heard good things but found them not to be true in our case. The ambiance was good but my chicken salad had 3 pc.uncut lettuce, a quartered tomato and dry chicken with a small shot of dressing...all that for only $14 and tip. Other places in the area gave us unusual value for our dollar so I would not... More

Having stayed at the American Hotel (across the street) and feasting on breakfast - there was no chance of lunching at The Black Cat Cafe before we had to leave town to stay on our limited schedule. No worries. We were warmly greeted and informed that we could order for take-out and decided upon the Gorgowich, which was a green... More

We were returning home on US Rt. 20 when we noticed that time was running short and we decided it would be best to head for the NYS Thruway. So sad to travel the super higways and miss America. So...we turned onto Ct. Rt. 10 and doing so came into SHaron Springs, NY. Well to say luck was with us... More

We turned into Sharon Springs on a whim during a road trip through upstate New York in late March. We found a sleepy little town, and were surprised that there was a cafe that was open. Not knowing what to expect we went in for lunch, we ended up having a delicious and memorable experience. The food was absolutely wonderful... More

Great sandwiches. They have a variety of unique combinations. You can't go wrong. The atmosphere is friendly and neighborly.

I had the alexandria breakfast sandwich. Very tasty. it took a long time for the order to arrive, but the sandwich was worth the wait. S/O had the James Beard french toast and was suitably impressed. There aren't a huge number of breakfast options available in the vicinity, and this place had a steady stream of customers while we were... More

Have had breakfasts and lunches there. Their baked good and breads are very good. Have a nice variety of foods, all cooked on premise.

i was there i think yesterday. at first i thought it was going to be sucky because i could not find anything that appealed to me. after a couple suggestions, i decided to just pot bacon, garlic, and lemon in a roll with a side of sausage. it was delicious. after i finished, the owner (who was waiting us) decided... Had lunch and the Mac and Cheese is the best! Love the fresh baked goods as well? Was on diet until I was looking at those baked goods. I could not leave without even taking something home with me! Tony is the best.
