Variety

Great sandwiches. They have a variety of unique combinations. You can't go wrong. The atmosphere is friendly and neighborly.

I had the alexandria breakfast sandwich. Very tasty. it took a long time for the order to arrive, but the sandwich was worth the wait. S/O had the James Beard french toast and was suitably impressed. There aren't a huge number of breakfast options available in the vicinity, and this place had a steady stream of customers while we were... More

Have had breakfasts and lunches there. Their baked good and breads are very good. Have a nice variety of foods, all cooked on premise.

i was there i think yesterday. at first i thought it was going to be sucky because i could not find anything that appealed to me. after a couple suggestions, i decided to just pot bacon, garlic, and lemon in a roll with a side of sausage. it was delicious. after i finished, the owner (who was waiting us) decided... Had lunch and the Mac and Cheese is the best! Love the fresh baked goods as well? Was on diet until I was looking at those baked goods. I could not leave without even taking something home with me! Tony is the best.

Ordered two sandwiches and after 45 min decided to go inside to pay for our water and leave. We noticed that the entire restaurant had turned over and all the new tables had food. Meanwhile they kept us waiting and telling us they were backed up. The sandwiches were two slices of white bread with Turkey and mayo . Why... More

Went here during Harvest Festival. I know it's busy and they were swamped all weekend but it was painfully obvious they threw some girls on staff to help who had no clue how to wait tables or help customers. Sat outside after asking inside and it STILL took 3 trips inside to get someone to come take our order. They... More

Black Cat Cafe was a delicious luncheon experience. We had the homemade tomato basil soup, which was de lish ous! Also had the Tuscan chicken sandwhich on chibattta. Also delicious! For dessert, the carrot cake, which I would strongly recommend. Friendly owner! Very accommadating! If you are in the area, stop in for lunch! You won't be disappointed!

Although we'd been residents of Central NY for the majority of our formative years, I was bringing my wife to visit the village of Sharon Springs, NY (Well, ok Beekman 1802) for the first time. We'd just flown in to Albany, and it was time for lunch. We could have dined at any number of other places but chose to... More

We ordered meals from the Black Cat Cafe to be delivered to the Glimmerglass Opera. The main courses were nicely prepared but the dough on the fruit tarts was completely raw. It had not been cooked at all! The meals are not cheap, so we expected higher quality for our money. Maybe the cafe needs more staff so that they... More
