A summer institution from the 60's

My husband and I have been going there since 1962. they have changed very little. Expanded and added roofs over tables. That's it. Food is the same. Great steak sandwiches. Good atmosphere. Convenient to Freedom Park Pavillon for quick meal before concerts and ice cream after. When they open in... read more

If you live in Schenectady then you know you must visit this place when it opens and when it closes in September. The food is great its your basic burgers and fries shack but its not greasy. They host fireworks every year around the end of june and if visiting on the weekends their might be a show nearby in... More

Place your order, listen to the waiter call out in their own special jargon to cooks. Get your order of great fish fries, burgers, clam rolls, fries, curly fries, always fresh and always tasty. At the end of the line, get your choice of drinks or shakes and pay. If you tip, the cashier yells "Subway" and everyone of the... More

Great old fashion drive in food. Worth the visit and reasonably priced. Service was stand in line style, fast and friendly. The food was good but typical hot dog and hamburger stand type. The shakes and ice creamed, served next door, were most tasty. Get it a try for good food fast

The jack burger and onion rings are my all time favorites, but the price is crazy. 5.25 for a burger you can get at Wendy's for half the price? C'mon guys. It's a little ridiculous to go and spend 45-50 dollars on a family of 4 at a burger joint.

Had dinner before a concert next door at Freedom Park. Go for the "Jack Burger" and some fires or onion rings! If you skip the shake, there's ice cream for desert.

Jumpin' Jacks is a summer tradition. Outdoor eating with plenty of picnic tables. Burgers, fries, and onion rings are all delicious. The food is rather expensive, though. Plenty of frozen treats available at more reasonable prices. A nice place to bring kids of all ages. Couples and friends will enjoy it as well. Good location too. Waterski shows on the... More

We stopped in for ice cream after long paddles on the Erie Canal. The service is really quick! They offer a really wide range of ice cream products. There is something for everyone! One day, I had a "freeze" (like a Blizzard) and the next day I had a hot fudge sundae. Both were really good.

Jumpin' Jacks has their own style of burgers but excellent taste, moderately priced and the outdoor ambiance is very relaxing and actually rather awesome. It is a local place that is closed in the winter (go figure that for upstate NY) but a delight for the spring opening.
