Always good

Pitkins continues to carry on its reputation of a good meal, at a readonable price, with excellent service. The BBQ sandwiches and ribs are great. And oh the pies...Marie makes the best pies in the area. They are all homemade and wonderful. We love Pitkins for breakfast, lunch, or dinner... read more

We arrived and were told to sit anywhere. The waitstaff was sparse but attentive. Now to the food: Grilled cheese: Basic, cook added tomatoes as per my request the sweet potatoes fries it came with were pretty good. Turkey Sandwich: Also basic, had the basic fixtures on it and was a good size. Mashed potatoes it came with were nothing... More

Enjoyed a very nice breakfast with the family here - great service as well. Seems to be a nice casual spot to take the family.

We love going to Pitkins for breakfast. It's classic diner food and nothing outrageous, but it hits the spot. I've never been for dinner but our neighbors like the BBQ

We stopped on a rain-soaked, chilly April day for a quick lunch. Not a big place, but very friendly and lots of local folks (everyone was greeted by name, it seemed!). BBQ beef sandwich - hearty and good. Accompanying french fries were served hot and crisp. A cup of split pea soup tasted homemade. A BLT on toast reminded me... More

There are not many places to get lunch in this neck of the woods. We picked this place because of the crowd. Barbecue beef was good but a little dry. Fries chicken was excellent. Portions were bountiful. Service was excellent. All in all, we recommend this for anyone in the area.

Great spot to pass by if you're in the Adirondacks. They don't make food like this in Queens. We wish they did! The service is GREAT, and the pie is even better.

We had a delicious breakfast. I had the blueberry pancakes and my husband had eggs, sausage, and toast. Coffee was plentiful. The waitress checked on us frequently. We loved the old pictures of the town and restaurant.

There's not much off northern 87 in terms of good food, but a little research helped us find this small town favorite. We all had yummy BBQ and made sure we saved room for dessert. Coconut and chocolate cream pie, bread pudding and an amazingly creamy, light peanut butter pie (order this one!) were worth the trip alone. The service... More

Pitkins has been in business for 100 years and I think the current family has operated it for about 60 years. It is open year around and has tasty well prepared food.
