Disappointed to see it gone. Had great soup and sandwiches but it shut down. So sad. Wish Miriam the best in her retirement.

Many different blends of coffee, All we tried were excellent, Different kinds of fresh pastries. They have seating outside and are located in town so you can visit and relax with friends in the morning.

This is my favorite go-to place for breakfast and brunch. The crepes are out of this world but more than that I always look forward to the soup of the day. She makes some of the best soups I have ever had in any restaurant. I am never rushed out, even when I arrive close to closing time. My hubby... More

This is a super place to have a crepe, soup or other good food if you are staying in town or just passing through. Not only is the food good and the service excellent, you will enjoy looking around the restaurant and be welcome. It is casual with a really unique blend of food and atmosphere. Try it, you will... The Morningstar is a nice and friendly place. We got there @ 2:40, and after realizing they are closing at 3:00 I asked if it was too late for a sit-down lunch, but the nice lady said -not at all, and at no time we felt rushed (we did stay past 3:00). We wanted to try crepes based on reviews,... More

My boyfriend and I were camping up the road at Paradox Lake. We came into town for dinner since there isn't much by Paradox. The morning we were leaving, we stopped here for our breakfast and coffee as it was the only place open around 8am on a Sunday. The coffee was fantastic and the breakfast sandwich was made on... The Morningstar (named after the movie Marjorie Morningstar filmed here) is a delightful, charming venue for breakfast and lunch. The soups and sandwiches are delicious and innovative, and sure to please. Miriam, the owner offers a warm greeting to all, and provides good food at a very fair price. This is a true slice of Americana.

We have eaten at Morningstar many times and have never been disappointed! The Crepes are delicious and a refreshing change from the ordinary fare found most other places. The sandwiches are unique and freshly made, as are the soups. The atmosphere is casual with a coffee and tea area to fix your own. There are also gifts and local crafts... More

I visited this restaurant on a Saturday morning with 2 teenage girls that I had just picked up from summer camp on the Island. They each had an order of crepes, while I had just coffee. Everything was very good and the service was good. We also picked up a cute little picture frame in the design of an Adirondack... More
