Not fancy, but a really great little place that has delicious Italian cookies, cappuccino, sandwiches, and gelato.

I love their homemade, real homemade pastries!! Closes I have tasted since being in Italy. Lunch was good. Do not have anything bad to report. Oh, it is not the Ritz.

Walking into Civitello's is like going into a neighborhood place in Italy. They have the best gelato in Schenectady. The lemon Italian ice is wonderfully tart and refreshing. I haven't had the pizza but go often to have the pasta fagioli for lunch. It is delicious and excellent value. I can't say anything about the cookies and pastry others haven't.... More

The pastries and cookies are like something you would get in little italy in NY city. Their spumoni seems like it is homemade and fresh as well. It has a true italian flavor.

Very limited but good menu. The Piazza and Spumoni homemade and excellent. Reminds me of the old time small cafe. I believe it is 3rd generation.

The pastries I got there were delicious. The fig filled cookies were great, actually filled with a lot of fig instead of thick dough and no filling the way a lot of places get away with these days. The lady who waited on me was very friendly and nice. It's in Schenectady's "Little Italy" and I would go there again... More

I've been a loyal customer of Civitello's for over 10 years. The staff is incredibly friendly and the food ... well, eating here makes you feel like you're eating in a little cafe in Italy. Some of my favorite menu items: tomato pie with huge pieces of roasted garlic and a nice, crispy crust; thinly-sliced eggplant sandwich on homemade Italian... More

Small ice cream shop with gelato, sodas and Italian pastry. The butter cookies are heavy and I love butter. Across the street from Cornell's and Perreca's .

Stopped by one evening for the Italian ice and it was fantastic. Friends have been raving about the Italian ice and my husband and I decided to try it. I'm glad we did.
