4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 22, 2015 NEW

I've only been here for breakfast so I can't speak to the lunch/dinner food or service. Went with a friend and enjoy a delicious (and huge) cappuccino. We shared a piece of the fried dough which was just right. Large portion, so easily shared. It had just the right 'dough' consistency: not airy and empty but nice and dense. We... More

Had lunch with friends recently, The food, service and value for the meal was excellent as always. I also like to go to the bakery connected to the restaurant for fresh homemade Italian bread, cold cuts, Homemade pizza, cookies. Never a disappointment.

My husband and I love to go to this little restaurant for breakfast after a morning row on the Mohawk. They serve authentic Italian food with their own fresh baked hard-crust Italian bread the family has been baking for over 80 years. The service is very good but this is not a fast-food restaurant so you have to wait for... More

Perreca's italian bread is the BEST. Everything at the bakery is GREAT...but my family has loved the bread since I was a child...there is truly no comparison.

Perfection in a loaf is about all one can ask for in Italian bread. Hard crust from the brick ovens and perfection for making a hoagie or slopping up tomato gravy from a bowl of pasta. Stop here it is worth every bite but get there early as the loaves sell out. Sometimes I buy 24 loaves and freeze them... More

Companion, who now lives in Florida, has missed the bread since moving there, so we stopped in for lunch. Eggplant Parmesan and sausage & pepper paninis, each made with half of a small round bread, were absolutely fabulous. The side of tomato basil soup was also a tasty treat. The desserts looked wonderful, and I probably would have opted for the... More

We went for breakfast with a group and were seated quickly outside. We asked for separate checks for separate families, not a big deal really, and the waiter was clearly put off by the request. The food was mediocre at best, but the worst part is that they ran out of bread! This bakery, known for their bread, served us... More

I had the good fortune of marrying a girl whose grandparents were Italian immigrants from Sicily who settled in Schenectady, NY. We live in Texas now but whenever possible we go back to visit the place we lived for many years and eat some hearty delicious Italian food. This time my wife's uncle recommended that we try Perreca's Restaurant. Perreca's... More
