This classic diner I've visited for years when I was younger and lived in Schenectady (and the surrounding area's) and now when heading up to Schenectady to pay my respects to family members I've lost. It's great comfort food when I need it the most. But overall the quality hasn't dipped a bit in the years I've ate here, they... More

Roasted Chicken, Fried Chicken, or Pasta or rice dishes. They serve soup and salad with each meal, plus bread and butter. Nice old home feeling.

The Blue Ribbon is a diner that is clean and provides excellent service. I stopped in for lunch with my niece. We both opted for burgers; I had the blue ribbon burger with mushrooms, onions and requested cheddar cheese rather than American and requested it medium, it came with fat french fries. My niece ordered a cheeseburger and onion rings... More

We found the Blue Ribbon through trip advisor and we were not disappointed. The place is clean and warmly decorated, my husband said he had the best fish and chips ever. I had a pork chop special which was great. We were so stuffed we didn't have dessert, however I took a slice of cake back and feasted on it... More

My friend and I were there for lunch and no big surprise. It's always been your steady basic menu. Their service is excellent and the food was served hot. I had an omelet and it was good . If you live in Schenectady or the surrounding area, you can't help but know about the Blue Ribbon Diner. Chances are you've... More

The service was fast and friendly. I had the spinach-feta-onion omelette, and it was fluffy and absolutely delicious. The home fries are truly the best I have ever had. I can understand why my daughter, who brought us, comes here a lot.

You must always save room for the cheesecake. Keep that in mind when you choose from the multi-page menu. They do Greek, Italian, American all very well. Comfort food is a specialty. When you walk in and see the pastry case you might just want to order dessert first! But if you can' tsa be room for the cheesecake, definitely... More

The Blue Ribbon has improved over the last couple of years. I would only go once in awhile before because the food was about the same as other diners. Now, if someone says let's go to the Blue Ribbon I am ready to go. The bakery part, well, some really good some so so. Also, note that there is a... More

My wife and I have been going to the Blue Ribbon for over 25 years. This should in itself say a lot about this place. They have their own baker on staff that make the most delicious deserts eat in or take home.
