I've never been a huge fan of this diner or any upstate diner, really. When you're from Brooklyn no diner elsewhere can compare. In most Brooklyn diners you're given plates of appetizer food before you order.... Cole slaw, chickpeas, crackers and bread. You're given a choice of water or seltzer (club soda). Your ordered food is in abundant quantity and... More

Food was good and filling. Restaurant was clean and well maintained and our waitress was attentive and pleasant. Our experience was tainted by the cashier however. My husband was already at the counter when I walked up and noticed the American Legion donation box. It then occurred to me to ask about a military discount. The cashier responded with a... More

Just stopped in and got a spinach and feta omelet which was pretty great. I used to go there but it started to not be so good. Someone said that they really have it together now, so I stopped in. Well worth coming back to. My food was hot and came out right away, coffee never stayed empty for more... More

We frequent Blue Ribbon in Schenectady. Never have we been disappointed - either with the food or the wait staff. My daughter particularly loves "The Happy Waitress", an open face chese and tomato. Their desserts are out-of-this-world, but we always take the desserts home because we're too full from our entrees. Everyone should visit The Blue Ribbon."

We go fairly often. It is not your ordinary diner. The food is much better! Always fresh. The desserts are yummy and homemade also. Very good choices!!

The Blue Ribbon Diner has a very good reputation and we'll confirm that it is consistent. We have eaten there more than a dozen times over the last 3 years. We have always enjoyed breakfast which delivers the staples done well. The service is generally good but some of the waitresses have become stale from their long tenure. Dinner, while having... Great place for seniors to eat, lots of food at a low price. Food is excellent and desserts even better. Service is fast and friendly. Sometimes there is a wait, but you can make reservations.

This restaurant has been in the same location for over 30 years and that's how long I have been going. The food is delicious not to mention it has award winning cheesecake. I have had the pleasure of enjoying many different menu items for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Each meal has exceeded my expectations. If you're in the area, try... More
