Very good

A Friday night with friends -- two other couples. This place was busy, but efficient, and a little noisy. Still, we were able to talk to one another without yelling, that was a plus. Our waitress was attentive to all of us, and had a good sense of humor. We had Martha's Martini's... read more

Let me say o was concerned when walking in. Had been told of the menu was not thinking I would be a fan. I was wrong. The restaurant is designs with an open air concept in thy the front windows open up and allow the front 4 tables to feel the evening air. The interior is well appointed and designed... More

The menu at Aperitivo is always unusual and delicious, with lots of interesting choices. The decor is a hip blend of existing historic charm and modern comforts. The ambience and lighting are wonderful and it has a thriving bar scene in the evenings. Right next to Proctor's Theater, it is a great before theater dinner spot and after theater hangout.

We dine here regularly because Aperitivo has it all-great location next to Proctors, great food, excellent service and a lively atmosphere. Our son came home for Easter, so we took him here Saturday night, and he raved about it all the way home! We tried the pork appetizer and the bolognese pasta dish and loved them both! Our favorite server... More

For a downtown establishment, prices are way too high. Food is ok and service is fine, but there are too many local choices to spend that amount on dinner.

We always eat here before a show at Proctors, too bad it is not in Saratoga or we would dine more often. Menu has nice verity and well presented. I have been in the food service industry for 28 years and they do it right … KUDOS

This is a nice enough restaurant and it is a nice place to eat before a Proctor's event, but the service was slow and we were not acknowledged for quite a while after we sat at our table. I eventually had to get up and ask someone to help us, and even that didn't get us that much attention. Finally... More

Though I work near Schenectady, my wife and I rarely make the 40 minute trip to try restaurants there. As such we were extremely pleased when we travelled one Friday evening to Aperitivo in downtown Schenectady. We had an excellent meal, with great service, in a pleasant atmosphere. We dined mostly on small plates. We had the Mussels, Spicy Tuna... More

My favorite restaurant. We get a few appetizers and split an entree. 7 hour pepper pork and the sea scallops are a must. They have had a limited menu if there is an event at Proctors, I would check ahead.
