Very good seafood/fish restaurant , offering great dessert soufflés . Minus: can't make reservations.
Another great meal at eastchester fish. This time I went for the restaurant week special menu, which did not disappoint. This place is always crowded and does not accept reservations which is probably why i dont come more often. the food is wonderful, service is top notch and nice atmosphere.
We were a party of 5 on a quiet Monday evening. We ordered drinks fairly shortly after being seated and then the waiting began. 15 minutes later we ordered only AFTER my husband asked the hostess to send the waiter over. We both received the wrong salads. Entrees arrived within a reasonable amount of time but we had to flag... More
You may wait for a table but you will not be disappointed. The variety is extensive and the staff accomodating. If you have a special request the staff will do their best to help. On certain days the restaurant runs"specials"-- early bird sometimes; lobster night and shrimp and shell fish on another.
Fish Tacos are the best! Any of the fish dishes will not disappoint. I would stay away from the oysters. That is not their strong suite. Soups are a bit on the salty side for my taste. Great for a casual lunch. Dinners can be a bit crowded and the noise levels go up.
no reservation policy makes it imperative that one arrive early! having said that, the menu has lots of choices and every dish is well prepared.
The market is literally next door so the fish is FRESH. Preparations are not super imaginative but that's not why you are there. Nice wine list.

The salads and appetizers are very good -- especially the two-minute calamari, which are cooked, not fried. Prices are moderate. There is a raw shellfish special on Thursdays and... More
Visited this place in December 2014. We ordered appetizers, and this is when we realized that this is not a "gem" as people desribe this restaurant. French fries were reheated, or they used precooked, frozen fries, but now way fresh potatos. Clams chowder tasted just like from Progesso can. Diner: I ordered lobster. Well, it was mediocre, not great at all.... More
