Nice place, quiet and off the beaten path - Good food

Small menu, but all items are cooked to order and very flavorful. I enjoy the peace and quiet of the Sayville inn and am never disappointed. The waitstaff is excellent and they have very comfortable open seating plan. You are not packed in close to other tables. It's always a nice time at the... read more

First of all I love when an owner is visible & goes from table to table. Thanks Chuck! Also, on the menu it lists 3 different chowders. Try the "Long Island" which is 1/2 New England & 1/2 Manhattan. Oh my goodness. It's not thick nor to watery. It's so darn good I will go back just to buy it... More

As others did, we awaited the reopening of this classic restaurant. The history of this building is phenomenal, and the new owners kept that history intact. The food was very good and the manager Chuck, was very accommodating in showing us the famous portion used by John & his cousin Teddy Roosevelt during the early 20th century.

Hearing the Sayville Inn had new owners and was to be reopened soon, I eagerly anticipated a reincarnation of what it once was. For many years after moving to Sayville and making it our home, the Sayville Inn was our restaurant of choice for special occasions. The menu never failed to delight, and the decor theme was changed on a... More

Our co-workers highly recommended trying The Sayville Inn. One even said it was the "best burger" she had ever had. That is a surefire draw for me. The building sits on the street with parking in back. There is the bar and restaurant with good seating. The water came in a bottle, not pricey bottled water but in an old... More

I love this restaurant. This is where my boyfriend and I like to go for a "nice dinner out". The club steak is to die for. There burgers are great. I been there a few time and they never disappoint. I love that its dim lit and beach themed. Classy though. Like I said above, one of my favorite places... More

We've been to the Sayville Inn on multiple occasions and have yet to have a bad meal or bad service. The food is wonderful, they're known for their marinated burger. It's a very cute place, like a little house, with airplane memorabilia hanging all around. It's small but it's really lovely. Bar is very relaxing, sometimes they have a guitar... More

The Sayville Inn is a smallish restaurant/pub decorated with lots of aircraft memorabilia. Much of it is very interesting. The bar is reminiscent of a UK pub, lots of friends enjoying each other's company. There are TV's in the bar for more relaxed dining. The seated restaurant area is behind the bar area. I ate with a friend in the... More

We went there to celebrate an Adult Birthday at 7pm. Parked next door and was promptly seated. Our food order was in by 7:20. Wine and appetizers came within a reasonable time. The Main courses however took an excessive amount of time. Didn't arrive until after 9. Food was good and gave us plenty of time to talk.
