Great find a bit off the beaten path. I was going to give this 5 stars, but the second time we ate here (we got take out), the steamed clams (yes, steamed clams -great ones at that) had many empty shells and for $9 didn't get much. We had them previously and they were perfect. The rest of the food... More

This was our fourth time visiting El Rancho, and again we loved the food. We make it a tradition when we travel to Saugerties for a horse show each summer. The decor is like stepping into a little bit of Mexico, they also have an outside patio for seating and a large bar area with seating if you prefer. Casual,... More

The portions were big. The shrimp fajitas had a lot of shrimps, more than the usual that you find in other Mexican restaurants. But I wish the chile rellenos had cheese instead of sour cream. The other chile rellenos I had tasted in other places had a bit of rice and ground beef, which I prefer. The flan was very good.... More

We had a large group of friends join together for dinner. The service was friendly, but not really helpful. The chips and salsa were great, my entree, chicken soft tacos were pretty average if not tasteless, but my friends all seemed to enjoy their food. The portions were pretty big, too.

Went here with my ski team after a race on a whim and we were not disappointed. The homemade chips and guac are super delicious and the service was great. I had the chimichangas which were as massive as they were delicious. My group seemed pretty universally satisfied. Definitely worth a stop for dinner after skiing.

Great atmosphere, can eat inside, or outside. Serve authentic jaritos, and have awesome staff, that really make you feel like family. Food, is very good! Fresh, authentic, not greasy. They make there salsa to go too! Have to try them.

Went with my wife on a recent Saturday around 6:30pm The place was packed but not to capacity. The service was very friendly yet quite slow. In fact, it puzzled me that the wait staff took a long time to clear tables once the diners had left which provided a somewhat messy atmosphere. Having frequently traveled to various regions in... Lovely place on the way to Palenville. It is hard to say why I like the place so much. The inside is somewhat plain and during the early spring or fall a touch on the cool side. But I just lose myself in those chimichangas or enchiladas. The Margaritas are excellent. The staff is friendly and remembers us and our... More
