Great food! Love this restaurant! Gotta try the "blackened string beans". You will not be disappointed.

I have been a patron of this restaurant for over 20 years & it never ceases to amaze me the outstanding meals I've been served. I love the flavors, textures and blends of food that Rick puts on his menu, We celebrate our Valentine anniversary there every year and he has a different menu every year as well as every... More

My husband and I were there last night and we were very pleasantly surprised at this restaurant. Looks like and old barn from the outside, but inside was a great charged atmosphere with wonderful staff looking out for us! I had a very spicy jerked chicken, ( which you could get at various degrees of hotness, I had a seven... More

This was my favorite place when I lived in the Hudson Valley and I even had a private meal made (fundraiser) by Ric Orlando that was out of this world. Two years ago, during a visit, I took my partner and he really liked it but I felt it wasn't quite up to par. This summer, I took my partner... More

The food and service are great. The menu can even be called "exciting," and the emphasis is on local produce. The decor could use a facelift, but the meal was still very enjoyable.

I normally eschew this kind of fare but I was convinced by my friends that this was an establishment worth checking out. How right they were! I loved this place, everything I ate was sublime. Won't hesitate to return on my next visit to NY state,

We arrived at New World Home Cooking, and were told the restaurant wouldn't be open for another half hour. However, the lovely hostess tucked us in at the bar, and then went and found a bartender to make us drinks to enjoy while we waited! The staff checked in on us a couple of times, and then when 5 p.m.... More

Recently celebrated a friend's birthday @ New World. Food was great. Not only did they give the birthday girl special treatment, but Ric Orlando, owner, personally came around to make sure all was ok. The best was when they brought out her dessert w/a candle & sang happy birthday.

We found the menu somewhat lacking in variety. I personally chose two dishes from the appetizer menu (Asparagus Soup of the Day and Steamed Mussels) which I found quite satisfying. However, my husband wanted something more substantial but simple: most of the entree's were on the exotic side and the Cuban Bomb he chose was exactly that - a bomb.... More

It was our first time there and patrons all new Chef Ric and his staff personally by name which impressed us. Chef Ric came out and met us personally and showed us around. The service was excellent and the food was simply amazing! Clean cut fresh flavors. We ate so much that we didn't have room for desert but would... More
