I normally eschew this kind of fare but I was convinced by my friends that this was an establishment worth checking out. How right they were! I loved this place, everything I ate was sublime. Won't hesitate to return on my next visit to NY state,

We arrived at New World Home Cooking, and were told the restaurant wouldn't be open for another half hour. However, the lovely hostess tucked us in at the bar, and then went and found a bartender to make us drinks to enjoy while we waited! The staff checked in on us a couple of times, and then when 5 p.m.... More

Recently celebrated a friend's birthday @ New World. Food was great. Not only did they give the birthday girl special treatment, but Ric Orlando, owner, personally came around to make sure all was ok. The best was when they brought out her dessert w/a candle & sang happy birthday.

We found the menu somewhat lacking in variety. I personally chose two dishes from the appetizer menu (Asparagus Soup of the Day and Steamed Mussels) which I found quite satisfying. However, my husband wanted something more substantial but simple: most of the entree's were on the exotic side and the Cuban Bomb he chose was exactly that - a bomb.... More

It was our first time there and patrons all new Chef Ric and his staff personally by name which impressed us. Chef Ric came out and met us personally and showed us around. The service was excellent and the food was simply amazing! Clean cut fresh flavors. We ate so much that we didn't have room for desert but would... More

We enjoyed the casualness of this restaurant. Service was friendly. We got the tuna appetizer which was excellent and had a nice combination of favors. The wings were fine but we were expecting more heat given her description. The main course of duck was very good. Overall a nice experience but did not wow us.

My husband and i have been going to New World for years and love it! The food is always delicious - we've never had a bad meal. And we love that they have many options for both vegetarians and meat eaters. The menu is unique and creative - unlike many restaurants. The waitstaff has always been wonderful, including the owner.... More

This restaurant is worth the visit. They put their own twist on on menu items. My steak came with an asian barbecue sauce. It was very tasty. The Asian guacamole was very good too. My friends were happy with their meals too. The bar area was hopping and it was a very pleasant atmosphere overall. The service was great, presentation... More

Fun ambiance, tho the bar isn't what it was a decade ago, nor is the food. Still worth a visit if you have never been. Fri night lobster is a good deal.
